The audience may have been unhappy but Dylan’s performance helped change the direction of music and culture in the United States. The mid-1960s were a time of great change. One such place of change was the world of folk music. Bob Dylan became a symbol of change when he moved from acoustic (原声的)to electric guitar.Rock music historian Elijah Wald has written a new book about the ch ange. It is called “ Dylan Goes Electric. ”“ There was a moment in the early 1960s when you could look at the Billboard charts and seven of the top 10 albums were folk records. And Joan Baez, Peter Paul and Mary, the Kingston Trio, all had huge, huge, huge number-one records."And then this happened: The "British Invasion" introduced the world to the Beatles and grew a huge fan base for rock music. That worried many folk musicians, says Elijah Wald.Hey hoped that Bob Dylan would e to the rescue. However, a new Dylan sound came from the stage.Bob Dylan had gone electric, and the followers of folk music were not pleased. “When Dylan went electric, I think one of the issues was the feeling that — wait a minute, he's gone over to the enemy.Folk lovers had looked to Bob Dylan to save their movement from rock and roll. But, author Wald says Dylan felt differently about the music.“ Dylan had always liked rock and roll and Dylan didn’t think of rock and roll as stupid music. ” In fact, Dylan was a B eatles fan. He later said that from the first time he heard the Beatles he knew “they were pointing to the direction where music had to go. ”Beyond the music, Dylan's performance that night also marked a turn in American culture.28. Mothers, the researchers warned, will continue to shoulder the burden of childcare and housework for the next four decades, largely because housework such as cleaning and cooking is still regarded as “ women’s work”.The gap between the amount of time men and women spend on housework has narrowed slowly over the past 40 years. But it will take another four decades before true housework equality (平等) is achieved, the study concluded. The research found that in the Nordic countries, the burden of housework is shared more equally between men and women. In the UK, women spend an average of four hours and forty minutes each day on housework, pared with two hours and twenty-eight minutes for men. This is an improvement from the 1960s, when British women typically spent six hours a day on housework, while men spent just 90 minutes every day.But progress towards housework equality appears to be slowing in some countries. Dr OrielSullivan,a research reader from Oxford’s Department of Sociolo gy, said,“we’ve looked at what is affecting the equality in the home, and we have found that certain tasks seem to be given according to whether they are viewed as ‘men’s work’ or ‘women’s work’.”Dr Sullivan said cultural attitudes taught at school may be responsible for the views of housework. “At school it is much easier for a girl to be a tomboy, but it is much more difficult for a boy to enjoy baking and dancing,” she said.32.The underlined part “pull their weight” in Paragraph 1 probably refers to “__________”.A. lose weightB. be lazyC. earn moneyD. do equal housework33.Women will continue to do more housework before 2050 mainly because _________.A. men are too busy to helpB. they would like to do soC. they can do better in houseworkD. housework will still be considered as women’s work34.From Paragraph 4 we know that in the UK ___________.A. men now spend just 90 minutes a day on housework on averageB. women now are too busy with their work to do houseworkC. women now spend less time on housework than beforeD. housework is shared equally between men and women35.What is the main idea of this passage?A. Disputes about housework between husbands and wives will exist until 2050.B. Women will be doing more housework than men until 2050.C. Men are unable to help their wives with housework.D. Women spend less time on housework while men spend more than before.第二节(共5小题,每题2分,满分10分)根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项,选项中有两项为多余选项.(注意:答案E 涂AB;F涂AC; G涂AD)Good listening skills can provide you with a deeper level of understanding about someone’s situation. If you want to know how to bea good listener, read on to get started!36 It’s easy to get lost in yourself and to only consider the impact of the other pe rson’s“telling”on you.But active listening is blocked by your inward thinking. On the contrary, you must look at the problems from the other person’s angle.Don’t try to help immediately. Some people think that they should find a quick and easy solution to th e person’s problem while listening.Instead, you should take the time to think of a“solution”only if he or she is really looking for help in this way.37Remember what you’ve been told. 38 So,if the person is telling you about his problems with his best friend, you can at least remember his name so you can refer to him that way.If you don’t remember any names, details,or important events, then it won’t sound like you’re listening.Encourage the speaker with body language. 39 .Also says littlethings such as“Yeah” when the person is talking about something that they want you to agree on or“Wow”when the person talks about a tragedy or something bad done against them. These words betray that you’re not only listening but paying attention.Make eye contact. If you giv e your friend the impression you aren’t interested and are distracted, they may never open up to you again. 40 A.Wait for the person to open up.B.Place yourself in the other person’s shoes.C.Show them that you care by nodding at right times so they know y ou’re listening.D.Being a good listener is to actually absorb the information the person has told you.E.Focus directly on their eyes so that they will know certainly that you are absorbing every single word.F.Instead of the conclusion, let the speaker know that you are ready to listen and to be a sounding board.G.If you start thinking of all of the quick measures for the person’s problems, you won’t be listening attentively.第三部分英语知识运用(共两节,满分45)第一节完形填空(共20小题;每小题15分,满分30分)阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的四个选项(A、B、C和D)中,选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。

They once worked together.DAre you sometimes a little tired and sleepy in the early afternoon? Many people feel this way after lunch. They may think that eating lunch is the cause of the sleepiness. Or, in summer, they may think it is the heat. However, the real reason lies inside their bodies. At that time – about eight hours after you wake up – your body temperature goes down. This is what makes you slow down and feel sleepy. Scientists have tested sleep habits in experiments where there was no night or day. The people in these experiments almost always followed a similar sleeping pattern. They slept for one long period and then for one short period about eight hours later. In many parts of the world, people take naps in the middle of the day. This is especially true in warmer climates where the heat makes work difficult in the early afternoon. Researchers are now saying that naps are good for everyone in any climate. A daily nap gives one a more rested body and mind and therefore is good for health in general. In countries where naps are traditional, people often suffer less from problem such as heart disease. Many working people, unfortunately, have no time to take naps. Though doctors may advise taking naps, employers do not allow it! If you do have the chance, however, here are a few tips about making the most of your nap.
