ESP教学模式下的艺术专业大学英语第二课堂建设摘要:专门用途英语是满足学习者特殊需要的英语,能体现“个性化”教学,是大学英语教学发展的方向。
在esp教学模式下,除了应注重第一课堂的教学外,丰富多彩的英语课外活动和课堂教育紧密相连,不仅可以帮助学生巩固和加深理解课堂知识,增加听说读写的机会,还可以开拓学生的知识领域,提高学习英语的兴趣,调动学习的主动性和积极性。
因此应该重视这项工作,积极主动地开展英语课外活动,充分利用“第二课堂”。
关键词:专门用途英语英语第二课堂意义形式一、esp与艺术专业大学英语教学专门用途英语(esp)起源于2o世纪60年代后期,是指与某种特定职业、学科或目的相关的英语。
它有两个明显的特点:一是学习者有明确的学习目的,即由于特定行业的需要,学习者需要具备在某些学科内使用英语的能力。
二是有特殊的内容,即专门化的内容。
步入21世纪后,艺术类专业人才越来越多,竞争越来越激烈,对人才的要求更高,除了具备过硬的艺术业务水平之外,还需要较熟练地使用外语在各自的领域与国外同行进行交流、探讨与合作,英语的实际应用能力成为重中之重。
然而以考试考级为出发点的普通英语教学已不能满足经济全球化和信息化时代对艺术类学生提出的岗位要求,开展专门用途英语教育,培养应用型艺术人才势在必行。
esp教学模式使用“全方位、立体化、开放式”的课程实践教学模式,培养艺术专业大学生的英语应用能力,增强艺术专业学生的职业能力,esp教学最终服务于“语言技能+专业知识”的培养模式,让培养路径朝向“英语+专业”的复合型方向发展。
按照esp 方法构建起来的艺术专业大学英语教学体系,关键在于提高艺术专业大学生英语学习的兴趣。
学生在尝试使用英语获得与自己专业相关的信息、完成与专业相关任务的过程中,能不断体验成功,不断调动学习动机并增强信心。
经过esp培养的学生,在其专业领域里,比那些只接受普通英语教育的学生更胜任交际活动。
二、建设英语第二课堂的意义语言学习过程分为输入和输出两部分,这两部分同等重要。
