In the argumentative essay “What Are Road Signs for”, Jim K. argues that although there are millions of road signs in China, people never pay attention to them, and that’s the major reason why there are a lot more car accidents in China than in the United States...

Why did we choose this text?
We strongly dislike this article and find it an excellent example for what we should try to AVOID in writing an argumentative essay. The structure is confusing. There are a lot of faulty assertions. The target is not clear. The tone is inappropriate.
