摘要:归根结底说,市场竞争其实是指人才竞争,现阶段国际间的交流频率越来越高,很多酒店服务当中的英语口语也更加重要,酒店工作人员的英语沟通水平是其综合竞争力的重要体现。酒店是向世界展示我国形象的一个窗口,因此,酒店员工的形象至关重要。鉴于此,该文将对酒店员工的英语沟通能力培养的现状进行分析,并提出针对酒店员工英语沟通能力培养的策略。

酒店是我国对外展示形象的一个重要窗口,可以说具有至关重要的作用。酒店员工是这一行业加强对外服务的参与者之一,员工所具备的英语沟通能力至关重要。就酒店员工英语沟通能力的培养来说,研究人员从语法的规范性和思辨能力与交际语的礼貌策略,还有教学法等多个角度对提升涉外员工英语沟通能力的策略做了分析和研究,在本次研究中,认为实战性与可操作性的提升空间非常充足,因此具有深入探讨的需要。

1 酒店员工英语沟通能力培养的现状分析

1.1 缺乏人才的培养机制,英语培训过于形式化

对于酒店行业来说,这是集中劳动力的一个行业,具有较大的人员流动性。一些酒店想要对人力成本有所降低,运用了很多在校生顶岗,因此使得酒店的从业团队缺乏稳定性,同时,在素质上也存在很大的差异,酒店培养人才的能力时保持的是谨慎的态度。但是,酒店并没有制定出有效的和人才培训机制,还有一些酒店就算制定了针对性的培训计划,还是会因为较大的人员流动性以及业务繁忙趋于形式。

1.2 员工的外语水平存在很大的差异,单一化使用外语

从相关调查中可以看出,酒店员工的外语水平上具有很大的差异性,该问题主要体现在以下几点。一是,酒店中高层的管理人员具有很好的外语水平,很多一线的服务人员所具备的外语能力很差;二是,酒店内部不同部门间的员工外语沟通能力存在很大的差异,然而从整体上分析,酒店员工的外语水平还是比较低的,与客人通过英语交流时总是有一定的语言障碍出现;除此之外,酒店员工在英语词汇的背景文化并不了解,在沟通的过程中总是会出现很多尴尬与笑话。不只是参差不齐的外语水平,还存在很严重的单一化外语使用现象。酒店员工的涉外服务主要依靠英语沟通,很少接触其他语言,同时具备两种以上的外语员工是非常少的,尽
