His plan worked and he was convinced by Claudius’guilty actions that the ghost was right. Hamlet had no reason to delay in taking revenge for his dead father. However, he didn’t seem very resolute. In other words, he did make a decision but he didn’t carry out actionsimmediately. At this crucial moment, he was still wrestling with the question of life and death: to be or not to be. Hamlet even attempted suicide as a means of escape to forget the reality and search for comfort from a future life. Cowardice and undecidedness are two main characteristics of Hamlet. He could have stabbed his uncle to death when he came upon the king in an attitude of prayer. For my A.P. world extra credit, I watched the movie hamlet. Hamlet is based off the Shakespeare play Hamlet. It is an interesting movie, and the play's plot is very advanced for its time.
