（一）祈使句
用于表达命令，请求，劝告，警告，禁止的句子叫祈使句。祈使句常用于表达命令，因此也可叫命令句。祈使句大多数以动词原形开头。祈使句的主语you通常被省去。
1．实义动词开头的祈使句
如：Read louder!
否定式是在前面加Don’t。
如: Don’t sit here! Don’t cry! Don’t laugh!
2. 系表型祈使句
以系动词be 开头，后接表语，不表示动作，而是表示状态，性质，位置等方面的要求。如：Be careful! Be a good boy! Be polite!
系表形祈使句的否定式也是前加Don’t。
如：Don’t be noisy! Don’t be foolish!
3.包含说话人的祈使句
当说话人提出的建议包含对方和自己在内时，常用Let’s开头。
如：Let’s go to karaoke today! Let’s have a rest
这种祈使句的否定式为：Let sb. not do sth.
如：Let’s not start an argument! Let’s not make the mistake again!
4. 非动词形祈使句
一些名词，形容词，副词，—ing式动词等也可构成祈使句。
如： Attention!（名词） Out!（副词） Quick! （形容词） No smoking here!（—ing式）
