Purpose America leads the world’s charities to develop forward. More and more American millionaires join in donation. Some of them donate directly through helping the poor out of difficulties. And other millionaires donate indirectly through establishing charity foundations.They help poor people and social development. The entire world pays attention to this phenomenon. So I prepare for the essay"The Charity of American Millionaires".I think this is a rare opportunity for me to collect the information and to get some knowledge about the charity work in America,even in the whole world. What's more,I believe that it is good for our society. Significance American millionaires’ doing charities does not happen suddenly, but develops gradually. America inherits the charitable tradition of Europe and enriches charities. On the other hand, American economy develops fast, and America becomes the richest country in the world. This situation creates a condition for American charities, because many millionaires appear under this background. American charity foundations are managed correctly. It makes American millionaires donate their money to charity foundations affirmatively. Millionaires doing charities can not be detached from the government’s work. The government of America makes some related taxes and laws to promote charities. American millionaires’ charities not only promote the development of America, but also have profound influences on the world. Main content In July of 2006, businessman Warren Buffett announced a gift about thirty seven billion dollars to the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. Mr. Buffet, an investor, is the chief of Burk Shower Halfway. He is the world’s second richest man and Bill Gates is the richest. Mr. Gates starts and remains the shareholder of Microsoft, the world’s biggest software maker. He started his foundation with his wife in 2000. It gives money to health and educational causes around the world. Because the sum of money is so big, the entire world began to discuss this thing. They want to know why Mr. Buffet donates so much money in charity and then what he could get. Everyone knows that thirty seven billion dollars could finish many things in helping other people in difficulty there are many people learned the reason. Some people analyses the reason from American history, because American inherited the charity tradition of Europe. Religion is also one of the most important reasons.Obviously, government’s contribution is in promoting the development of American charity. The government issues the tax and law, and some clauses are related to charity. These clauses makes millionaires to donate, because these millionaires have to donate from their own interests. But on the other hand, Chinese also want to know why Chinese millionaires are not willing to donate. If there are not many millionaires in china? The answer is no. there are enough millionaires for charity. But they don’t like to donate. In China, we don’t lack charity tradition in history. All Chinese understand that human should help each other. We only need to do exactly in our lives. All the donors should gain applause and praise. And surely, the government can also help charity developing. So we should learn the reasons of American millionaires doing charity, and then make full use of their experiences in our country’s charity.Then we should persuade Chinese millionaires to donate,and to make contribution to the society which confirms their achievement. In my paper ,I will show some information of American millionaires' donation,and talk about its impact to China ,even the entire world. The origin of American culture is from European, especially Britain.So in part A, I will analyse the relation between America and European,especially England.The Background of Charities in Religion and Culture ,iThe Background of Charities in Religion and Cultures, The Social Background of Charities and The Charitable Deeds of American Millionaires are also important elements.In a word, Part A mainly talks about The Origin and Development of American Charities.Part B is about The Areas of Charity Activities.American charity started earlier and inherited the tradition of European charity.The main areas to which American philanthroposts donate are education,politics, science and the poor. Chapter II focus on the The Reasons for American Millionaires’ Charities,The chapter is divided into three parts一part A,part B and part C. Part A mainly talks about American Millionaires’ Believing in Charity Foundations and The Contributions of Charity Foundations to the Society.Part B mainly talks about The Privilege in Tax and Law of Millionaires’ Charities,American revenue and law is better than other countries',and the most important spot is that it promotes the charity's development.Especially the income tax, there are many exclusions and deductions in law about donation.And those exclusions and deductions are described in Federal Income Tax.Part C talks about American Millionaires’ Pursuing Other Things Besides Bread,For American millionaires ,they have had enough money to live ,so they need to think how to use it and what do they want to get? Most of them know the answer, they use their money make donation. Chapter III talks about The Influences of American Millionaires Doing Charities and the Enlightenments about Charities in China. Through learning American millionaires donation,we know that America has good surrounding in charities,but in China ,millionaires have seldom charities.China is one of the big countries,it is sure that Chian must have better surroundings to encourage millionaires to donate.Government supporting and charity foundation is necessary, they should give Chinese millionaires enough encouragement.But they should respect millionaires,after all,it is so difficult to let millionaires to donate simply,because their money is also gained through their efforts.So gocernment and charity foundation should make the millionaries take their money out sincerely.If there are good surroundings,Chinese charity will develop gardually. And our society will also bo more harmonious.
