Be动词有两种形式

第一,系动词,所构成的句子结构为主系表,表现形式有:is, am, are, was, were,在句子中翻译为“是”

如:

I am a girl. 我是个女孩。

第二,助动词,无实际意义,与其他动词一起构成时态。表现形式有:is, am, are, was, were 以及Be原形。

如:

I am reading. 我正在看书。(进行时)
