Unit 4 Earthquakes
The Chinese government was ill­prepared for a disaster of this scale at that time. The day following the quake, helicopters and planes began dropping food and medicine into the city. About 100,000 soldiers of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army were ordered to Tangshan, and many had to march on foot from Jinzhou, a distance of more than 180 miles. About 30,000 medical personnel were called in, along with 30,000 construction workers. In the decisive first week after the disaster, many people died from lack of medical care.

一、教材分析
人教版普通高中课程标准实验教科书高一英语必修一unit 4 The Earthquake warming up、
pre-reading部分。本单元以地震为主题,这个主题对于这些刚刚进入高一的学生并不陌生,
刚刚过去的汶川地震,这些学生都经历了。本单元在对地震进行更详细的介绍讲解,可以更多
的激发学生对英语学习的兴趣 ,同时在学习中学生更多的了解地震所带来的破坏,知道在地
震来临时如何进行自救。
二、学情分析
本班学生是高中一年级学生,这个班的学生英语基础非常薄弱,入学时英语及格的学生非
常少,学生听说读写能力非常薄弱。但是部分学生英语学习热情非常大,能够活跃的发言积极
的思考。对多媒体教学已经基本适应。
三、教学资源与策略
教学资源:多媒体 英语课件
教学策略:(1)运用生活中与教学相关的情景,借助多媒体展开教学活动,提出有启发性的问
题,激发学生兴趣。
(2)分组讨论,提问回答

四、教学目标

七、教学评价
1、warming up 中学生的积极性很高,都积极讨论踊跃发言,说明真实的情景讨论贴近学
生生活,气氛非常活跃,学生能够积极的表达自己的观点,讨论的比较全面。
2、针对课文所提出的问题,大部分学生回答的都还不错,说明学生已经通过自主学习切
实的理解了课文内容。
3、部分学生对所复习的单词短语在口语讨论中灵活运用,说明学生学习很积极认真。

八、教学反思
本课时很好的调动了学生的积极性,大部分学生能够积极的参与到小组讨论中,能灵活的
运用所给短语到讨论中。阅读训练中部分学生能够在限定的时间内完成练习,仍然有部分学生
由于基础差没能及时完成练习。在今后的训练中对于学习基础薄弱的学生还需要加强基础训
练,降低他们练习的难度。

九、板书设计

1.教材分析中只是谈了教学材料的内容,没有具体分析教学材料的在本单元的位置和作
用。
2.本节课的定位不科学。本节课是warming up、pre-reading,故不应该是阅读课,而应
该是会话课。
3.在知识与能力的教学目标中教师设定了学生必须掌握的词汇和短语,well、smelly、
pond、burst、canal、steam、dirt、injure、brick、dam、useless、steel、shock、rescue、
quake、electricity、army、shelter、fresh、organize、bury、at an end、dig out、coal
mine、in ruins,非常多。但是作为该单元的第一节课,学生不可能掌握这么多词汇和短语,
而且本节课是会话课,教师也不应该讲解次回合短语。故本教学目标没有和课型很好结合。

的课前和课尾都是在说复习词汇。如果本单元的第一节学生就已经在复习词汇,那学生是什
么时候学习词汇的呢?
