Finally, many jobs require oral presentations. Therefore, students can learn an important skill and develop confidence in speaking to a group.I think writing paper is better for students. 18

As the sun cast its warm glow over the bustling city, a special ceremony unfolded in the heart of the town square. It was a day of transition, a day of celebration, and a day of new beginnings. The occasion? The annual 18th birthday ceremony, a rite of passage marking the transition from adolescence to adulthood. The square was transformed into a vibrant canvas of color and sound, with families, friends, and community members gathered to witness this momentous occasion. Theair was filled with the laughter of children and the excited chatter of adults, all converging into a symphony of celebration. At the center of the square stood a stage, adorned with flowers and decorated with bright banners. On this stage, the soon-to-be adults would take their first steps into the world as independent beings. As the clock struck the hour, the ceremony began. The first to speak was the town elder, a wise man with a kind heart and a wealth of knowledge. His words werefilled with wisdom and advice for the young adults about to embark on their new journey. "Remember," he said, "with adulthood comes responsibility. It is a time to cherishyour freedoms, but also to understand the importance ofduty and commitment."Next, the parents of the soon-to-be adults took the stage. With tearful eyes and proud smiles, they shared stories of their children's childhood, their growth, and their achievements. They spoke of the love they had fortheir children and the confidence they had in their futures. Finally, it was the turn of the 18-year-olds themselves. Each one stepped forward, donned a cap and gown, and received a certificate of adulthood from the hands of the town elder. In their speeches, they reflected on their journey so far, thanked their families and friends fortheir support, and looked forward to the opportunities and challenges that awaited them in the future. As the ceremony drew to a close, the town band played a rousing tune, and the crowd erupted into cheers and applause. The young adults, now official members of theadult community, smiled broadly and waved to the crowd. Itwas a moment of jubilation, a moment of pride, and a moment of new beginnings. The 18th birthday ceremony was not just a rite of passage; it was a celebration of growth, a recognition of the hard work and dedication it took to reach this milestone. It was a reminder that with adulthood comes new responsibilities and opportunities, and that with everystep forward, there is a world of possibilities waiting to be explored.**走向成年:庆祝18岁生日**当太阳洒下温暖的光辉,照亮繁忙的城市时,一场特别的仪式在市中心的广场上拉开帷幕。

Coincident with most people's notion is my heartfelt belief that television advertising directed toward young children should not be allowed. Since the advent of television, advertising has permeated every corner and every minute of our life. It is not uncommon to observe the large amounts of television advertising aiming at innocent young children. My reasons for opposing advertising directed toward young children are as follows. In the first place, advertising may waste money and cause emotional torture of parents when they fail to fulfill their children's unreasonable demands. However, nowadays, regardless of what children's true need, most of advertising are promoting a largenumber of products that is useless or unsuitable to children. For example, when a family ishaving a pleasant dinner together on Christmas Eve, a cartoon figure lion king would appear on screen and hold a tub of popcorn to attract children's attention. It is a typical advertising strategy host sale. By combining popular cartoon figures and products, advertising could draw children's attention and achieve a better sale. However, it may cause some problems; first, some children may be easy to be drawn into the content in the advertising; second, if children are attracted by it and they insist on purchasing it while parents consider the products as a piece of meaningless junk, cry and screams could drive their parents crazy. Therefore, advertising could cause problems not onlyfor children to understand but also may bother and upset their parents. Furthermore, advertising could mislead children for major goal of most of advertisings is to make profits whereas children between age two to five lack ability of understanding and judgment. Children are easily influenced by outside world, and admittedly television advertising play a negative role in this aspect for they tend to exaggerate the advantage of their products. For example, my two year old younger brother is attracted to Transformer, Spiderman and Superman models. In his mind, these toys are magic, fantastic and powerful as imparted by advertising. In fact, they are just normal toys; they cannot fly, climb mountains or save people's life. Some two year old boys even are just babbling instead of speaking clearly, not to mention identifying misleading messages conveyed in the advertisings. Thus, these advertising has misled and distorted children’s vision toward reality. All in all, though there are some undeniable benefits of advertising for children; for example, advertising could open an amazing world of imagination and innovation for children by informing them what a fabulous Barbie or a magnificent castle is. However, these advantages could be ignored when its disadvantages are taken into consideration. It would mislead the children, distort their vision toward reality and even cause quarrels and financial burdens for parents.托福口语范文(篇二)I’d like to talk to Alan Shore from the TV series Boston Legal. He is the kind of person I admire. He is decent, a man of his word, one of the very few that I regard as having a strong sense of justice. Yet he is not bound up by the rules and knows when to break them to achieve the ultimate good. And he is interesting and eloquent, all the things that I desire to have. I want to talk to him about how to balance when you want to have principles and yet not bound up by them at the same time. (105)托福口语范文(篇三)Friends play an important role in everyone's life. In some cases, friends could even be of greater help than your family members. The issue whether it is more important to keep your old friends than it is to make new friends has become a hot issue for people all over the world. As far as I am concerned, keeping old friends is more significant than making new friends. To begin with, old friends have a better understanding of you. They have known you for many years and have shared happinesses and sorrows in the past years with you. For you, they are more like your family members. I have a great friend named Joy. We have become best friends since high school. She can read what I'm thinking from my facial expressions. I will turn to her for advice whenever I'm confused. In addition, she will give me warm comfort if I feel upset. I trust her and she trust me, too. Although we may work or live in different places, thisprecious friendship will last forever. The next point to be mentioned is that it's not easy to make sincere new friends in the complicated working environment. Most of my good friends were made in school, where there is much love. However, people care more about themselves and their family and have little time and energy to develop close friendship with others. The most common relationship in the society is colleague. Most people have their own circles of friends at that time. However, we can't deny the importance of making new friends. New friends mean new ways of thinking and different life experiences. By communicating with them, you can learn something different and have various kinds of pleasure. All in all, keeping old friends is of greater importance than making new friends.更多最新,最in的托福资讯,关注公众号:小站托福(ID:xiaozhantuofu2015)托福口语范文(篇四)The thing I often take up in my leisure time is surfing the internet. However, the listening points out that the consumers have their own objective views and judgments. They often do a lot of researches in theInternet or consult doctors before they buy the products, which enable them to have a comprehensive and thorough understandings of the medicines.Second, the reading believes that once the medicine is advertised, the sales will surge, which will mislead the consumers to believe that such medicine is very effective, so they will not consult their doctors. However, the listening refutes that though the censorship is not conducted by one ad by ad, the government will seriously fine the companies that violate the regulations, so the companies are less likely to do that. In 1990, new rules and guidelines were adopted in the United Kingdom that has changed the whole field of Archaeology in that country. The new guidelines improved the situation in all there areas discussed in the passage.First, the new guidelines state that before any construction project can start, the construction site has to be examined by archaeologists to see whether the site is of archaeological interest or value. If the site is of archaeological interest, the next step is for the builders, archaeologists and local government officials to get together and make a plan for preserving the archaeological artifacts, either by building around them or by excavating and documenting them properly before the construction is allowed to proceed.Second, an important part of the new guidelines is a rule that any archaeological work done on the construction site will be paid for by the construction company not by the government. The construction company has to pay for the initial examination of the site, and then for all the work carried out under the preservation plan. This is a whole new source of financial support. The funding from construction companies has allowed researchers to study a far greater range of archaeological sites than they could in the past.Last, the new guidelines provide a lot of paid work for archaeologists, work that didn’t exist before. Expert archaeologists are now hired at all stages of the process to examine the site for archaeological value, then to help draw up the preservation plan to do the research in a professional scientific manner and finally to process the date and write reports and articles. The increased job and career opportunities in Archaeology have increased the number of professional archaeologists in Britain, which is now the highest it’s ever been.托福口语范文(篇八)I want to read biography books, because although we’d love to say that the society is changing and developing, human nature never changes much. And the biography books help me understand the nature behind the more visible events. I may encounter the same problems in the future and I’d like to know how others deal with them. And everyone is trying to present a more glamorous version of the self and it creates lots of illusions. Biography is a kind of way to break down these illusions and offers the truth about humanity. University Choir to Enter Off-Campus Singing Competitions Currently, the university choir gives singing concerts only on campus. Next year, however, the choir will add competitive events at other locations to its schedule. The choir’s new director feels that entering singing competitions will make the quality of the choir’s performance even better than it is now. “Competitions will motivate students in the choir to pursue a higher standard of excellence in singing,” he said. In addition, it is hoped that getting the choir off campus and out in the public will strengthen the reputation of the university’s music program. This in turn will help the program grow. Now listen to two students discussing the article. (woman) Jim, you're in the choir, right? What do you think about what they are doing next year? This article? (man) I really like it. (woman) Yeah? (man) Yeah! The new director is right that it'll motivate us. (woman) How's that? (man) Well, some of the other schools are really good, so we'll really have to work hard to go up against them. (woman) Yeah! (man) I mean, right now, we don't rehearse more than once a week. But if we know we'd be competing with other schools, we'd probably rehearse more often and improve our singing the line. (woman) That's true, uh, the more you practice the better you get. So, uh, what about the article said about how this will help the program? (man) I hope it works. Right now, the program is pretty small but we have somereally talented people and it would be great to attract even more people. (woman) So, how would this plan help? (man) Well, if we go to these off campus events and other people hear us and think we are really good, we might be able to get some new students interested in coming to this university, to be a part of our music program and perform in our choir concerts. (woman) You’re right! I haven’t really thought about that. The man expresses his opinion about the change described in the article. Briefly summarize the change then state his opinion about the change and explain the reasons he gives for holding that opinion. According to the article, the university choir will add competitive events at other locations to its schedule, and the man agrees with the change for two main reasons. First of all, he believes that such a change will motivate the students because some other schools are good, and the students in the choir will have to work hard to go up against them. He believes that the students will even work harder; they'd perhaps rehearse more often singing the line. The second reason for the man's preference is that even though the program is small, there are talented people in the program and if students go to off-campus events and win the public attention, their performance could attract more people to both the university and the musical program. So the man is looking forward to the change for the reasons stated above.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
18-year-old adults are not mature enough to vote.
In my opinion, 18-year-old people already have the
ability to vote. Firstly, because I think when we are 18, we are adults, which means we can take responsibility for our behaviors and actions. (At the age of 18, we begin to make decisions independently, and thus our votes can represent our own opinions)【括号内的也能够不说】 And also I think young people above 18 are very concerned about the future of the country and they have the ability to reason and also enough knowledge about politics, which will help them to make right decisions. For example, my friends and I are just 18 years old, and we often surf online to learn about the information related to national policies. And our politics teachers always tell us not to just repeat what others say but think by ourselves. So we are mature enough to vote.
Well, I don't think I can agree with statement because I think +people who are already 18 years old are mature enough to vote.【也能够直接说: In my opinion, 18-year-old people already have the ability to vote.】
Firstly, because I think when we are 18, we are adults, which means we can take responsibility for the our behaviors and actions. (At the age of 18, we begin to make decisions
independently, and thus our votes can represent our own opinions)【补充了一些细节,否则,这第一个理由根本就没有论证,
And also I think young people above 18 are very concerned about the future of the country and they have the ability to reason and also enough knowledge about politics, which will help them to make right decisions.
补充例子(能够跟着Pt的答案一路说到结尾):For example, my friends and I are just 18 years old, and we often surf online to learn about hte information related to national policies. And our politics teachers always tell me, "Please don't just repeat what others say but think by yourself, think critically." So I am pretty sure that we are mature enough to vote. (/ 语速快的同学,能够挑战加长版结尾So I am pretty sure that we have the capability to decide what is good for the nation and the people and thus we definitely are old enough
to vote. )
So I think they have both the right and capability to decide what is good for the nations and what is good for the people. So that's why I
think they are old enough and mature enough to vote.【很啰嗦,其实就是因为没有内容了,所以用漫长的结尾来拖时间】
