“商务”“英语”傻傻分不清楚
对于商务英语，最多的疑问就是——到底是“商务中的英语”还是“商务加英语”，两者到底
是什么关系？实际上，在我的理解中，商务英语就是利用英语来学习商务知识。
我们学习语言，主要目的从来都不是研究，而是作为沟通的工具。中国的很多孩子把英语
作为知识来学习而忘记了它本身作为工具的内核，商务英语则把这一特点最大化地体现了出
来。作为一种职业英语，商务英语是一种具有很强专业性的行业英语，其核心就是学习沟通。
在这里，我们不再将英语作为知识，而是学习如何使用它，学习如何在商务活动中实现人际的
商务沟通。也就是说，我们要学会的是怎么用清晰准确的英语和老板、客户沟通，怎么用英语
浏览阅读财务报表、经济刊物。这也意味着一个真正的商务英语学习者在开始学习时应该具备
良好的英语能力，能够较为有效地吸收和消化所学的商务知识。
那么，如果本身英语就不太好，是不是就不能选择这一专业了呢？非也非也。商务英语的
教学还是以语言为主的，本质上学习的是商务语言。想象一下，在中文的商业环境中也是有很
多专业语言的，譬如同比、环比、通货膨胀……这些就是商务语言，即使是中文，也不是很好
理解。所以，英语基础不太好的同学也不用太担心，我们大一大二时开设的都是基础课，例如
写作、听力、口语等，在这两年内，有充分的时间让同学们打好基础，为大三大四的专业课做
好相应的准备。后两年的时间里，我们需要学习的课程在难度上以及专业性上都会有所提高，
例如国际商法、国际贸易与结算实务、国际市场营销、国际贸易谈判、跨文化翻译理论与实务
等等，全部都是英语授课。
此外，我们的部分课程是由外教来担任授课老师的。黑龙江大学的商务英语专业全部是小
班授课，每个班的人数都在25人上下，这使得同学们与老师有充分的接触机会，并且我们有
自己的专业教室，教室的设施完备，多媒体、电脑、电视……硬件条件十分过硬。我们的任课
教师资历都非常深厚，大部分专业课老师都有海外留学的经历和相关的从业背景。老师们的教
学方式也都灵活多样，采用国际化的启发式、互动式教学，提高同学们的学习兴趣，让大家转
变对“学习英语，就是死记硬背的苦差事”的固有印象。
“学习”“生活”两不误
作为商务英语专业的学生，我们的学习和生活比起其他专业的同学来说，更加的丰富多
彩。

海北的同学们用英语沟通交流，交换自己的想法，进行思想的碰撞。英语晨读社也是广受欢迎
的好地方，每天早上在操场边，都会有一群学生，大声地朗读背诵，琅琅书声回荡在整个操场
的上空。还有各种各样的竞赛也是提高自己能力的重要途径，英文的演讲、辩论、配音，数不
胜数。
此外，我们的生活也很欢乐。此前说过，在很大程度上，我们学习的是西方的文化，一个
显性的体现就是每年的圣诞节，我们都有自己的Party，游戏、唱歌、演节目通通不在话下。
同学们最期待的是SecretSanta，在圣诞节里，收到一份神秘的贴心礼物，不是最值得开心的事
吗？除了显性的体现，更多的是隐形的融入。例如，在生活中，我们专业的学生更多的讲究线
性思维：凡事先讲中心，再列理由。此外，我们的男士更有风度，对女士谦让温和；我们的女
士更有魅力，对生活热情精细。
总之，不论是我们的学习还是生活，较之其他专业都更加有活力，有激情。
“高大上”的就业前景
那么，经过四年的学习和训练，很多同学关心的是，商务英语专业毕业后能找到工作吗？
可以找到什么样的工作呢？
从学历和技能这两个方面来看，企业更注重技能。在招聘过程中，企业不单单考核毕业生
的理论知识，更注重毕业生的实际技能与综合素质，诸如日常工作中的公文写作技能、待人接
物的技能、如何与人有效合作等等。如需选派驻外机构人员，企业看重的是该员工良好的道德
品质、吃苦耐劳的精神和业务拓展能力。此外，在企业人才需求方面，更多的企业强调的是复
合型人才。一方面要基础扎实，听、说、读、写、译的基本功要硬；另一方面，要具有商业企
业运营的各方面知识和操作技能，不仅仅是进出口业务，还要在市场拓展方面，诸如产品开
发、广告策划、维系老客户、赢取新客户等环节有所了解。而这些也正是我们商务英语专业所
着重培养的能力与素质。
可以说，商务英语专业的就业前景非常广阔。本专业的毕业生大都在外贸企业从事外贸业
务工作，或者在涉外大型饭店、旅游部门、企事业单位从事文员和翻译工作，就业率达90%以
上。本专业的学生适应外向型现代商务管理工作，能胜任大量需要口头和书面英语交流的高级
文员工作，也可以从事英语教学培训工作。
总之，在毕业后，同学们可以选择的方向还是很多的，机关、企业、教育机构等，都可以
尝试。我的学姐、学长们，有在北上广贸易公司工作的，有在地方旅游局工作的，还有在国外
知名酒店工作的，就业率的确非常高。
当今世界越来越小，国际贸易越来越频繁，经济全球化的脚步不断加速，我们作为商务方
面的英语人才，也将会有更多的机会大展身手，一显神通！
