Unit 4 Earthquake一.教学内容分析本单元话题为“地震”,主要描写了1976年唐山大地震,各项语言活动也都是围绕地震展开。

本单元共分八个部分。

Warming-up 部分通过两张图片引出话题“一旦地震发生,将会造成怎样的危害”,为后面的主题作了一个热身运动。

Pre-reading 部分设置了两个开放性问题,目的是增加学生的生活常识,提高他们的应变能力。

这部分为接下来的阅读作了很好的铺垫,学生可通过套乱,参阅有关地震的书籍并运用一些生活常识来回答这两个问题。

Reading 部分具体描写了1976年唐山大地震的震前、震中和震后。

作者详细描述了地震来临前的一些不正常的自然现象及动物的反常表现;地震的来势汹汹并在顷刻间将整座城市夷为平地;震后人们勇敢面对现实并及时实施抢救和重建工作。

Part two: 定语从句的介绍 (一) The Attributive Clause(定语从句) ★ 概念: 定语从句: 在复合句中充当定语的从句叫定语从句. 作用: 相当于定语,用来修饰某一名词,代词或整个主句.

of+whom/which来替换,意义不变。 ㈢ 使用关系代词引导定语从句时,要注意几点: (1)Whom, which作介词宾语时,介词一般可以放在它们的前面,也可以放在从句原来的位置上,但是含有介词的动词固定词组中,介词应该放在原来的位置上。 1. Rose is the student whom you should (照顾) (2)指物时只用that不用which的情况:(口头翻译下列例句) ①.当先行词是不定代词时,如:all, everything, anything, nothing, much, few, little, none, the one等。 Eg: All that can be done has been done. ②.先行词前有the only, few, one of, little, no, all, every, very等词修饰时。 Eg: Australia is the only country that is also a continent. ③.先行词被序数词first, last, next等或形容词的最高级修饰时。 Eg: This is the first letter that I’ve written in English. ④.当先行词既有人又有物时。 Eg: They talked about the teachers and the schools (that) they had visited. ⑤.当主句是以who, which, 开头的特殊疑问句时。 Eg: Who is the man that is waiting at the bus stop? (3)只用which不用that的情况 ①先行词在非限制性定语从句中充当主语或宾语。 His money was stolen by a thief, which made him very sad. ②.当关系代词前有介词。 This is the factory in which my mother works.
