Overview Unit 14 I remember meeting all of you in Grade 7. will be taught basing on the topic of school days. It involves sharing past memories and experiences and looking ahead to the future. And it also helps the students to realize the importance of time, experiences ,being themselves and being grateful . The functions of this unit are to use some key structures of grammar such as “objective clauses ”,“present perfect tense ” , “be+V-ing” and so on, to talk about special memories, experiences and life in the future. In the class, we can use pictures, listening materials, conversations, reading and reading strategies to help the students to remember nice school days and know how to choose wisely and be responsible for their decisions and actions. Moreover, the teacher is supposed to lead the students to form a positive attitude towards life. Furthermore, we can encourage the students to make decisions by themselves wisely and bravely, study hard to succeed. At last, with the aid of the varied resources, such as textbook, workbook, courseware, the Internet, this unit is to be task-based and unfolded section by section as the following:

First, the teacher shows students some pictures about their school days in the past three years, the students will be asked to share their ideas and make a list of memories and experiences. At the same time, lead in to some new words and sentence structures: “I remember doing”. Next , do some listening practice. Before listening, the teacher gives some listening guidance to the students. Then, have the students role-play the conversation in 2d. Finally, let the students work in pairs to talk about their unforgettable people or things in junior high school. In a word, this period is mainly based on listening and speaking practice, which will pave the way for the learning in the section of Reading.
