使我成为一个更好的人英语作文处三全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1How to Become a Better PersonHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk to you about how to become a better person. It's something I've been thinking a lot about lately. I've realized that just being a good person isn't enough - we should always try to improve ourselves and become even better humans. The first thing I've learned is that it's important to be kind to others. That means treating people with respect, being polite, and putting yourself in their shoes. It's easy to be mean sometimes, especially if someone is different from you or if they do something that upsets you. But being unkind never makes anything better. It just makes people feel bad and causes more problems.Instead, we should go out of our way to be friendly, patient and understanding with everyone we meet. If someone is having a hard time, we can offer to help them or just listen if they need to talk. Small acts of kindness, like holding the door, smiling atpeople, or giving someone a compliment can completely turn around their day. And you'll feel great about yourself too!Another important thing is to be honest and have strong moral principles. That means not lying, cheating or taking things that don't belong to you. It means being brave enough to do the right thing, even when it's hard or when other people aren't. Having good values like integrity, responsibility and fairness as your guideposts will help you make better choices.I always try to own up to my mistakes instead of blaming others. If I accidentally break something, I apologize instead of making excuses. If I forget to do my chores, I take responsibility for it. It's not always easy, but it makes me feel proud of myself. Dishonesty and cutting corners never pays off in the end. It's also really important to keep an open mind and be accepting of people who are different from you. The world has so many diverse cultures, religions, backgrounds and perspectives - and that's pretty cool! By learning about people unlike yourself, you can gain new understandings. Don't judge others just because they're not exactly like you. Instead, ask questions so you can learn from them. For example, I have a friend who is Hindu and celebrates different holidays than I do. At first I thought her traditions wereweird, but then she explained them to me and I realized they were just as meaningful as my own. Now I appreciate how fortunate I am to have her as a friend so I can experience her culture.Being a better person also means taking care of the environment we all share. It's our job to be good stewards of the planet so future generations can enjoy it too. That means doing things like recycling, conserving energy and water, cleaning up litter and being mindful of our impact on nature. At my school, we have a recycling program that I'm really passionate about. Every week, I go from classroom to classroom to collect bottles, cans, paper and other recyclables. It feels good to know I'm helping in a small way! We should all do our part to protect the Earth. It's also important to have empathy and look out for those who are less fortunate than you. Just because you might have it good doesn't mean everyone does. There are lots of people struggling with poverty, hunger, disabilities, poor living conditions and other challenges. Instead of feeling sorry for them, we can actually try to understand what their life is like and how we can help.At the holidays, my family donates clothes, toys and canned goods to shelters and charity organizations. We also volunteer serving food at a soup kitchen sometimes. Seeing how grateful people are for whatever help they can get is really humbling. I know I'm lucky to have a warm home and enough to eat, and I want to share that with others who need it more. Those are some of the key things I've learned about becoming a better person - being kind, honest, open-minded, helping the environment and others in need, and living with integrity. But there's still so much more I need to work on. I can be impatient sometimes and often want things my way. I get frustrated easily and can be judgmental of people I don't understand. I also struggle with things like peer pressure, insecurity and dealing with failure. That's why it's an ongoing process to improve yourself. You can't just wake up one day and be the best person ever. It takes constant effort, learning, self-reflection and courage. Every day we're faced with choices and challenges that allow us to be better - or worse. The key is to keep trying, no matter how many times you fall short. There will always be more room to grow. We're human and we're imperfect. But if we keep making the effort, being open tofeedback, and never giving up, we can make the world a little bit better. After all, if we all strive to be the best people we can be, think about how incredible that would be! Let's do our part to make it happen. Those are my thoughts, but I'd love to hear yours! How do you try to become a better person? What are some ways we can all improve? I'm here to listen and learn, just like you. In the end, we're all in this together.篇2How to Become a Better PersonHave you ever felt like you could be a little bit better? Like maybe you weren't being the nicest kid you could be, or perhaps you were being a bit lazy or selfish? I know I have! But you know what's great? We can always work on improving ourselves and becoming better people. It just takes some effort and practice. Here are some tips that have helped me a lot:Be KindThis one is really important. Being kind means treating others with care, respect and compassion. It means thinking about how your words and actions might make someone else feel before you do or say something. It's using nice words, having good manners, and going out of your way to help people when you can.You can be kind by smiling at people, saying "please" and "thank you," holding the door open, offering to help carry something heavy, or just giving someone a compliment. Little acts of kindness really do make a big difference! They make the world a bit brighter and other people feel happier. And you know what? Being kind makes you feel good too!Treat Others How You Want to Be TreatedThis is called the Golden Rule, and it's a great principle to live by. Basically, you should treat other people in the same way you would want to be treated by them. If you want people to be patient, polite and understanding towards you, then you need to be patient, polite and understanding towards them too.If you don't like it when people call you mean names, interrupt you, or take your things without asking, then make sure you don't do those things to others either. Think about how you feel when you're on the receiving end of unkind behavior, and use that to guide how you treat the people around you.Be HonestHonesty is a really important quality to have. Being honest means not telling lies and being truthful in what you say and do. It means admitting when you've made a mistake instead of trying to cover it up. It means not cheating or trying to take shortcuts. Honesty shows that you are a trustworthy and ethical person.I know it can be tempting sometimes to tell a little fib to get out of trouble or to make something sound better than it really is. But lies often just lead to more lies, and they erode trust in your relationships with others. When you're honest, you build trust and respect. People know they can count on you and believe what you say.Work HardWorking hard and putting in your best effort, whether it's on schoolwork, chores, a sport or other activity, helps build qualities like discipline, determination and perseverance. It shows you have drive and dedication. When you work hard, you get a sense of pride and accomplishment from a job well done. It feels good!I'll be honest - working really hard at things isn't always easy or fun in the moment. It takes commitment and pushing through when you feel like slacking off or quitting. But in the long run, cultivating a strong work ethic will help you be more successfuland get ahead in life. So don't take shortcuts or settle for just doing the bare minimum. Always strive to do your very best!Be ResponsiblePart of being a better person is taking responsibility for your thoughts, words and actions. This means owning up to your mistakes instead of making excuses or blaming others. It means doing what you said you would do and following through on your commitments. It means taking care of your belongings, chores and duties without constantly being reminded.Being irresponsible and unreliable creates problems and disappointment for the people around you who are counting on you. But when you are responsible, people know they can trust and depend on you. You show you are mature and can handle things on your own without your parents or teachers always having to look over your shoulder.Keep LearningNo matter how old you are, you should never stop learning. Learning new things expands your knowledge and helps you see things from new perspectives. It exercises your brain and helps you develop critical thinking skills. There is always more to learn and room for growth!Make an effort to ask questions, research topics you're interested in, and learn new skills. Read books, watch documentaries, take a class or try a new activity. Embrace challenges and look at them as opportunities to learn something new. An attitude of curiosity and hunger for learning will make you a smarter, more interesting person.Be PositiveHaving a positive attitude and outlook on life is so important. It allows you to stay motivated, resilient and hopeful even when faced with obstacles or setbacks. A positive mindset means focusing on solutions rather than just dwelling on problems. It means looking for the good instead of letting the bad drag you down.Positive people are a joy to be around. They have an upbeat, cheerful energy and look at the bright side of things. They spread optimism and good vibes. On the other hand, constant negativity and complaining can be exhausting and bring others down too. Choose to be the kind of person who lifts people up!Be GratefulIt's also really important to be grateful and appreciate the good things in your life, no matter how big or small. When youhave an attitude of gratitude, you see the glass as half full instead of half empty. You don't take things for granted. You make the most of what you have instead of constantly wanting more or dwelling on what you don't have. There is always something to be thankful for - your family, a roof over your head, food on the table, your education, or just the ability to see the beauty of nature. The more you practice being grateful, the more positive and content you become. You attract more positivity into your life too. Gratitude is where lasting happiness begins.Be HumbleWhile having confidence in yourself is great, it's also very important to be humble. Being humble means not acting like you are superior to others and recognizing that you can learn from people around you. It means not bragging or showing off constantly. It means having the wisdom to realize just how much you still have to learn and grow. When you are humble, you don't look down on others or think you are somehow better than them. You listen more than you speak. You don't let getting good grades, winning awards or being talented at something go to your head too much. Youhandle success and compliments gracefully without getting an inflated ego. People admire and respect humility.Care About OthersFinally, one of the most meaningful things you can do to become a better person is to genuinely care about others. This means more than just being kind and polite - it means making an effort to understand and empathize with people's situations, struggles and perspectives that may differ from your own. It means being there for your friends and family. It means speaking up against injustice and standing up for those who need your voice. The world can be an uncaring and cruel place sometimes. But we all have the power to make it a little kinder, more accepting and more compassionate. Look for ways, both big and small, that you can lend a helping hand, provide comfort, educate others, or speak up for what's right. Be someone that others can count on and come to for support. As you can see, there are many different ways to work on improving yourself and becoming a better person. Some are easier than others, and you won't be perfect at all of them right away. Self-improvement is an ongoing process that takes commitment, self-reflection, and constant practice. But I truly believe that putting in the effort to follow these principles will make you not only a better person overall, but a happier one too. You will build stronger relationships, feel more positive, and make a meaningful impact on the world around you. What could be better than that? So keep working on being the best version of yourself each and every day. You've got this!篇3How to Become a Better PersonHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk to you about how to become a better person. It's something I've been thinking a lot about lately.I know I'm just a kid, but I really believe it's important to always try your best to be a good person. The world can be a tough place sometimes, with a lot of negativity and people being mean to each other. But I think if we all made an effort to be kinder, more understanding and more helpful to those around us, it would make the world a much better place. So what does it mean to be a "better person"? Well, in my opinion, it means treating others with respect and compassion. It means being honest and taking responsibility for your actions. It means being grateful for what you have instead of being jealousof others. It means being brave enough to stick up for what's right, even when it's hard. And it means always striving to learn, grow and improve yourself. Those are just my thoughts, but I've been trying really hard to put them into practice. Let me give you some examples of how I try to be a better person in my everyday life:At school, I always try my best to be a good friend. I'm kind to my classmates, I don't gossip or bully, and I make an effort to include everyone in games and activities at recess. If I see someone being picked on, I stick up for them. I'm also a good listener if my friends need to talk about something that's bothering them.At home, I help out with chores without being asked and I'm respectful towards my parents and little brother. Instead of fighting with my brother over toys, I make an effort to share and take turns. I also say "please" and "thank you" a lot because I know it's important to have good manners. In my community, I volunteer with my mom at a food bank and a animal shelter a few times a month. It feels really good to give back and help people or animals who are struggling. I've also started donating some of my gently used clothes and toysto shelters when I outgrow them instead of just throwing them out. Those are just some of the ways I try to be a better person, but there's always more I can do. Sometimes I get frustrated or upset and I'm not as kind as I should be. Sometimes I procrastinate on my homework or chores. And sometimes I catch myself feeling jealous when I see other kids with cool new toys or games that I don't have. But whenever I slip up, I remind myself that nobody is perfect. The important thing is to recognize when you've made a mistake, apologize if you need to, and keep trying to do better. Every day is a new opportunity to become a little bit kinder, a little bit braver, a little bit more grateful and a little bit better as a person overall.I know I still have a lot to learn, but I'm going to keep working on it. Because at the end of the day, I really believe that the best way to make the world better is to start with yourself. If each and every one of us made an effort to be more compassionate, hard-working, honest and understanding, can you imagine how incredible the world could be?So those are my thoughts, for what it's worth from a10-year-old! I'm definitely not perfect, but I'm going to keepstriving to become a better person each and every day. Will you join me? Let's make the world a little bit kinder, one good deed at a time!。

美丽的秘密是什么,大学英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1What is the Secret to Beauty?Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to share my thoughts on a very important question - what is the true secret to beauty? A lot of people think that being beautiful just means having pretty hair, nice clothes, and putting on makeup. But I don't think that's the whole story at all!In my opinion, the real secret to beauty comes from the inside. It's about being a good person who is kind, confident, and happy with yourself. Those are the things that really make someone glow and shine bright like a shining star!My mom always tells me that true beauty starts with being a kind person. She says that when you are nice to others and spread joy wherever you go, that inner light can't help but shine through on the outside too. I've seen this for myself with my best friend Sophie. Even though Sophie doesn't wear fancy clothes or makeup, she always has the biggest smile and her eyes justsparkle because she is such a sweet, caring friend. True beauty is about being a good person, not what you look like.Another thing I think is really important for being beautiful is self-confidence. My older sister Jessica used to be really shy and self-conscious about the way she looked. But then one day she decided that she was going to be confident and believe in herself no matter what. It was like a light switched on inside of her and now she walks tall, speaks up more, and has this radiant energy about her. My teacher Ms. Roberts always says that confidence is the prettiest accessory a girl can wear. I totally agree! Finally, I truly believe that happiness and laughter are huge parts of what make someone beautiful. My grandma is in her 80s but she has the most beautiful smile and crinkly laugh lines around her bright eyes because she is always so joyful and full of life's simple pleasures. Whenever I'm around Grandma, she makes me feel like the world's beauty is shining all around us through her cheerful presence. On the other hand, I've seen kids at school who you might think are pretty at first glance, but then they scowl and look miserable which makes them seemed drained of beauty. Happiness is a key ingredient to having that special inner glow.So in my humble opinion after 10 years of quality research on the playground and at home, the true secrets to beauty are kindness, confidence, and happiness. Those are the things that light up a person's spirit and let their best self shine through for the whole world to see. It doesn't matter how someone looks on the outside, what matters is the beauty that lives within their heart. That kind of beauty never fades and it makes everyone around you feel just a little bit lighter too. Those are just my thoughts, but I think this little kid might be onto something! What do you all think? I'd love to hear your perspectives. Either way, I'm going to keep working on my inner beauty by being a friendly classmate, staying confident during my next math test, and making sure I never forget to take time to play, laugh, and be a happy kid. That's the best way I know to be beautiful, inside and out!篇2What is the Secret of Beauty?Hi friends! Have you ever looked at someone and thought "Wow, they are so beautiful!"? Maybe it was a movie star, or a model in a magazine. Or maybe it was just someone you sawwalking down the street. Beauty can make us feel happy and amazed. But what exactly makes someone beautiful?A lot of people think that beauty is about how someone looks on the outside. They might think someone is beautiful because they have pretty hair, nice skin, or good features like big eyes or full lips. While it's true that our outside appearance plays a role, I don't think that's the whole secret to true beauty. You see, I know some people who are very good-looking, but they have a mean personality. They are rude, selfish, and unkind to others. When I see how they behave, I start to think they aren't beautiful at all! Their ugly attitudes ruin their good looks. On the other hand, I know some people who you might not call "pretty" at first glance. But once you get to know them, you can't help but see how beautiful they really are. It's because they have a beautiful spirit and heart on the inside. My grandma is one of the most beautiful people I know, but she doesn't look like a model or movie star. Her hair is gray, her face has lots of wrinkles, and she walks a little hunched over. But spend just a few minutes with her, and you'll see her true beauty shine through.Grandma always has a warm smile and a kind word for everyone she meets. She goes out of her way to help others, even when it's not easy for her. She's patient, generous, and full of joy. Whenever I'm around her, she makes me feel so loved. That's real beauty!I think the secret of beauty has a lot to do with how you treat people. Beautiful people are caring, humble, and think about others before themselves. They try to make the world a little bit better every day through their actions. Some of the most beautiful people I know aren't famous at all. They are ordinary people who choose to be kind, brave, hardworking, and good. Like the neighbor who shovels the sidewalks for everyone after it snows. Or the teacher who goes the extra mile to make sure every student understands the lessons. True beauty shines from the inside out.So don't obsess too much about how you look on the outside. If you're a good person who treats others right, your beauty will shine through. Try to make your character, your heart, and your spirit as beautiful as they can be. That's the secret to true beauty that lasts forever. What do you think? Do you know someone whose inner beauty shines through? I'd love to hear your stories andthoughts! Share them with me, and let's celebrate the beautiful people in our lives.篇3What is the Secret of Beauty?Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. Today my teacher asked us to write about what we think is the secret to being beautiful. At first, I thought this would be an easy essay because I see beautiful people on TV, in movies, and in magazines all the time. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that beauty is about more than just how someone looks on the outside. When I think of beautiful people, a few names come to mind right away - movie stars like Margot Robbie and singers like Ariana Grande. They are really pretty with their perfect hair, flawless skin, and fancy dresses. A lot of girls want to look just like them. My older sister has walls covered in posters of models and actresses she thinks are gorgeous. But is that what makes someone truly beautiful? Just having a pretty face and nice figure? I'm not so sure anymore. Some of the most beautiful women I know don't look like celebrities at all.My grandma is one of the most beautiful people I've ever met, and she's 83 years old with wrinkly skin and gray hair. She has the kindest smile and always gives the best hugs. Whenever I'm having a bad day, she makes me feel so much better with her gentle voice and wise advice. To me, her inner beauty shines so bright. Then there's Mrs. Taylor, my third grade teacher from last year. She wasn't a super thin or glamorous looking woman, but she had a warmth about her that made her glow. Her patience with every student, her excitement about teaching us new things, and her positive attitude despite being a busy single mom made her one of the most beautiful people I've known. We all loved her class just because of how beautiful her spirit was.My mom is another example of someone who doesn't look like a model, but is one of the most beautiful women I know. She works hard every day at her job and keeping our household running, but still finds time to listen to me and my brother, help us with our homework, and make sure we're taken care of. She's not a celebrity, but her strength, selflessness, and devotion to our family make her more beautiful to me than any famous person. So if being beautiful is about more than just looks, then what is the real secret? From the examples of my grandma, teacher, and mom, I think the true secret to beauty is:Having a good heart and caring about othersStaying positive and being a bright light, even when times are toughPutting others first and being selflessUsing your inner strength to push through life's challengesWhen I look at it that way, beauty has much more to do with your inner qualities than your outer appearance. Don't get me wrong, it's great to look your best by staying healthy, getting exercise, and taking care of your physical self. But the most beautiful people let their warmth, kindness, joy, and inner light shine through. That's real, lasting beauty in my eyes. There are a lot of gorgeous models and celebrities in the world. But at the end of the day, they're just physically attractive people if that's all there is. The ones who spend their lives making a positive difference, sharing their light with others, and radiating inner beauty from their souls - those are the truly beautiful people we should all admire and aspire to be like.So if you ask me what the secret of beauty really is, it's living with generosity, integrity, resilience, and love for yourself and those around you. With those qualities, your inner beauty can shine so bright and make you one of the most gorgeous people in the world, no matter what you look like on the outside. That's the kind of beauty I want to have when I grow up.篇4What is the Secret of Beauty?Hi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I love all sorts of pretty things - sparkly jewelry, colorful flowers, rainbows in the sky after it rains. Beauty is everywhere if you look for it! But do you know what the real secret of beauty is?A lot of grownups seem to think that beauty is about how you look on the outside. They spend a ton of money on fancy clothes, makeup, hairstyles and even surgeries to try to look beautiful. But in my opinion, true beauty comes from the inside. My mommy is the most beautiful woman I know, and it's not because of how she dresses or does her hair and makeup. It's because she's caring, patient, and always has a warm smile on her face. When I was little and couldn't sleep, she would stay up rocking me and singing lullabies until I dozed off. When I'm sad,she gives the biggest, tightest hugs that make me feel so loved. Her kindness and the love she shows every day - that's true beauty. Some of the most beautiful people I've seen don't look like supermodels at all. There's Mrs. Jenkins, my elderly neighbor who always has a tin of homemade cookies to share. Her face is wrinkled and her hair is grey, but her eyes sparkle with joy whenever she sees me. She's beautiful because she's generous and spreads happiness everywhere she goes. Then there's Jimmy, a boy in my class who was born with a disability that makes it hard for him to walk and talk. A lot of kids used to tease him, but not anymore - because Jimmy always greets everyone with a big smile and laughs at every joke, even the ones that aren't funny. His positive attitude and acceptance of others is inspiring. To me, that's beauty.True beauty has nothing to do with the latest fashion trends or Instagram filters. It's about having a good heart, caring for others, and making the world a little bit brighter wherever you go. It's the warm feeling you get from volunteering at a homeless shelter or standing up for someone being bullied. It's seeing the beauty in simple things like a sunset or forest animals scampering about. The most beautiful sights are the ones that make your heart feel full of joy and peace, not just your eyes. Like when I'm cuddled up with my parents reading my favorite book, or playing outside with my friends without a care in the world. Those are the moments I feel happiest and most beautiful inside. So in my opinion, the secret of true beauty is being a good person who spreads kindness, loves others, and appreciates the beauty in the world and in everyday small moments. It's not about looks or money or following trends. It's about keeping a pure, joyful heart and making people's lives brighter just by being yourself. That's real, lasting beauty.Well, that's my take anyway! What do you think the secret of beauty is? I'd love to hear your perspective. Maybe we can all learn something new about finding beauty all around us.篇5What is the Secret to Beauty?Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. I love art class and trying out new hairstyles and makeup looks on my friends. We're always talking about who is pretty and what makes someone beautiful. But I've been thinking a lot lately about what true beauty really means. My mom is so pretty and she always gets compliments wherever we go. She has long, shiny hair and big green eyes with long eyelashes. Her skin is perfect and she walks with confidence.I want to be just like her when I grow up! But you know what? I've realized that her beauty isn't just on the outside. The real reason my mom is so beautiful is because of her heart. My mom is one of the kindest people I know. She's always there to give me a big hug when I'm feeling sad. And she goes out of her way to do nice things for others, like baking cookies for my teacher or helping my grandma do chores around the house. Whenever I see my mom smiling and making someone else's day better, her face lights up in a way that makeup could never achieve. To me, that genuine warmth and caring is true beauty. One of my best friends has a disability that makes it hard for her to walk and talk sometimes. A lot of kids used to make fun of her at school because she looks and acts different. But once you get to know her, you see that she has the most beautiful spirit. She is patient, brave, and has the most contagious laugh that makes everyone around her smile too. Even though she faces challenges every day, she always stays positive. I admire her inner strength so much.I've learned that beauty has nothing to do with being a certain size or having perfect hair and teeth. Have you ever noticed how much more attractive someone becomes when they are laughing or being totally silly and not caring what anyone thinks? When people let their authentic selves shine through, forgetting to be self-conscious about the way they look, that's when their beauty radiates the most in my opinion. My grandma is in her 80s with wrinkly skin and gray hair, but she's one of the most gorgeous ladies you'll ever meet. She has truly lived life and it shows through the crinkles by her eyes from decades of smiling. She is full of wisdom, patience, and the most unconditional love for her family. Just being around her makes you feel at peace. If that's not true beauty, I don't know what is!So to answer the question "What is the secret to beauty?" - I believe it boils down to having a good heart. Being kind, brave, joyful, and letting your real personality shine through - that's what makes someone truly beautiful in my eyes. Looks fade but a beautiful spirit lasts forever. Those are just my thoughts as a10-year-old kid, but I feel like I'm starting to understand what really matters. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you're tall or short, young or old, thick or thin. Beauty exists in all shapes, sizes, colors, and abilities. If you are generous, keep an open mind, and make others feel valued - that genuine radiance will make you more beautiful than any makeover could. So be yourself, spread positivity, and never forget that your biggest beauty secret comes from within!篇6What is the Secret to Beauty?Hi there! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk to you about beauty. Lots of people think being beautiful is really important, but I think the true secret to beauty isn't just about how you look on the outside. When I was younger, I used to think that beautiful people were just the ones who looked perfect - you know, with pretty faces, nice hair, slim bodies and that kind of thing. I saw models and actresses on TV and in magazines and they all looked so flawless. I used to wish I could look just like them when I grew up.But then I started paying more attention to the people around me - my family, friends, teachers and neighbors. I realized that some of the most beautiful people I knew didn't necessarily look like models or movie stars. Instead, their beauty came from the inside. My grandma is one of the most beautiful women I know, even though she has wrinkly skin and gray hair. Whenever I'm with her, she always has a warm smile on her face and gives the best hugs. She's so kind, patient and caring. Her gorgeous bright blue eyes sparkle with happiness when she's around her family. To me, that's real beauty.Or there's Mrs. Thompson, my third grade teacher. She's not a super skinny or trendy looking woman, but she has such a calming presence. She's gentle, wise and so good at explaining things in a way that makes sense to us kids. She never loses her temper and is always fair. Whenever I think of beauty, her glowing smile comes to mind.My big sister Sophie is beautiful too, but not just because she's pretty (which she totally is!). What I admire most about her is her confidence. She's not afraid to be herself and doesn't care what anyone else thinks of her. She loves singing, dancing and making people laugh with her goofy jokes. Her free spirit and zest for life is an inspiration.True beauty has so little to do with physical appearance. It's about having a good heart, a positive attitude and making those around you feel loved, valued and happy. Some of the most gorgeous people are the ones who are brave, resilient andpersevere through hard times with strength and grace. Others are beautiful because of their brilliant minds, creativity and visions that can change the world.Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with wanting to look nice and take pride in your appearance. It's great to feel confident about how you look. But real beauty is much more than just a pretty face or a super fit body. It's the light that shines from within you.So to me, the secret to being beautiful is being kind, humble, strong and spreading more love in the world. It's about looking for the beauty in others and ourselves beyond just our outer appearance. It's appreciating the unique qualities that make each person beautiful in their own way. Beauty is a warmth that can brighten any room just by being there. At the end of the day, physical beauty is temporary and fades over time. But the beauty of a good human being lasts forever. Those are the people I admire most - the ones who make this world a little bit brighter and more beautiful just by being themselves. That's the kind of beautiful person I hope to be when I grow up.。

People say if you’re going to have a decent house to live in, you’re going to have to start with a good foundation. But I know very well, because I’ve done it, that you can slip a new foundation under an old house…. I rather suspect it’s that way with a
nation.
-- Pete Seeger, quoted in The Sun, May 2014
While Pete Seeger suspected that you can slip a new foundation under an existing nation – much as he did with a house, I know that you can do a similar thing with people. Whether you struggle with chronic anxiety, debilitating depression, or a repeating pattern of bad relationships, you can change those aspects of yourself that are at the root of your problems. Far from just being my opinion, psychotherapy has been shown to be effective in helping people heal, change, and develop happier lives.
There are many therapeutic approaches that can help. However, they all begin with some form of increased self-awareness. This is essential because, as in any other area of life, to solve a problem, you must get to really know it. So, to consciously make productive changes, you must first understand the problem. When reflecting upon personal issues, I suggest that you STEP into awareness and pay attention to the following areas within yourself:
Sensations
What sensations do you feel in your body? (e.g. tightness in your chest)
Thoughts
What are your thoughts? (e.g. I tell myself that I’m a failure)
Emotions
What emotions are you feeling? What emotions arise as you attend to your thoughts and sensations?
Patterns
What are the patterns of sensations, thoughts, and emotions that repeat over time?
(e.g. When you make mistakes in front of others, you tend to feel your muscles tighten, your face get hot, your thoughts turn to self-condemnation, and the emotions of self-hatred arise within you.)
Increasing self-awareness takes time. You must practice it again and again when upset and in difficult circumstances. It can help to keep an ongoing journal with these observations. However, with time and attention, you can begin to see where your foundation is weak – you can see your struggles more clearly.
This, of course, doesn’t magically fix your problems. However, it is an important first step. It helps you understand your struggles better—and see how you respond to them. It’s this latter part where you need to turn your attention next.
Many personal changes can be facilitated by learning to soothe the pains that you feel with love and compassion. New insights accompanied by a compassionate view of yourself can bring about healing. To understand this, consider how you would likely feel caring and an urge to help a child who was similarly upset. You have a sense that showing the child warmth and caring would help them. Similarly, self-compassion (along with self-awareness) will help you. It will strengthen you. So, although you can’t simply ―slip‖ a new foundation under you, compassionate self-awareness can nurture positive self-perceptions and help you to be more willing –even motivated – to reach toward personal growth.
