二、训练指津1.Can you play the guitar?此句中play与乐器类名词连用,表达乐器名称的单词前一定要加定冠词the,如:play the violin;若play与运动类名词搭配,则不用the,如,play soccer等等;但若表达的意思是“玩耍,与…玩”,则用“play with+…”如,play with water.2. We need help for our Beidaihe School Trip. (P61) 学校北戴河之游需要帮助。
need在句中用作实意动词,意为“需要”,后跟名词、代词或动词不定式,与后面的介词for一起,意为“在……方面需要……”。
need 也可作情态动词用,常用在否定句子中,即 needn’t do 相当于not have to. 如: I need to help my mother.我需要帮我母亲. I needn’t give you any help. 我不需要给你任何帮助.3. Can you help kids with swimming? (P61) 你会帮助小孩子游泳吗?help somebody with something=help somebody to do something意为“帮助某人做某事”。
如:My friend often helps me with my English. 单词help 也可以作不可名词用.如: I need your help.4.—Can you draw? 你会绘画吗?—Yes, a little. (P64) 是的,会一点儿。
little;意为“少许的”;“少量的”,表示否定的意思,相当于not much;a little意为“有一点”;“一些”,表示肯定的意思,相当于some but not much,都用来修饰不可数名词。
如:There is little water in the glass. 杯子里几乎没有水了。
There is a little water in the glass. 杯子里有一点水。
两者也可用作副词,用来修饰形容词、副词或动词,在句中作状语。
如:I like action movies little. 我不喜欢动作片。
I like action movies a little. 我有点喜欢动作片。
5. Rick’s family has one shower. (P66) 瑞克家有一个淋浴。
family侧重于由父母、子女所组成的“家”;“家庭”,强调家庭成员。
如:How many people are there in my family? 你家有多少人?home侧重个人出生,被抚养的环境和居住地点。
如:My home is in Beijing. 我家在北京。
注意:family指家庭的每个成员时,以单数形式当复数用,这时动词应用复数形式。
如:My family are all very well. 我全家都很安康。
而把family视为一个整体时,则用作单数。
如:My family is a happy family. 我的家是一个幸福的家庭。
6.What a funny time to eat breakfast!这是一个感叹句,其句子结构是:What+(a/an)+形容词+名词(+主语+谓语+其它)!如,What bad weather it is! 感叹句也可用how构成,其结构为“How + 形容词/副词+ 主语+谓语!”。
如:How fast he runs? 他跑得多快啊!7. —What’s your favorite subject? 你最喜爱的科目是什么?—My favorite subject is science(P71). 我最喜爱的科目是理科。
favorite用作形容词时,意为“最喜欢的”,“特别喜欢的”,可在句中作定语修饰名词。
注意:favorite 与like都有“喜爱”的意思,但它们的词性不同,在句子中所处的位置也不同,favorite常与like…best互换使用。
如:His favorite sport is basketball. = He likes basketball best. 我最喜欢篮球. favorite 用作名词时,意为“特别喜欢的人或物”,是可数名词。
如:These novels are my favorites. 这些小说是我最喜欢的。
