英语听力在大一这一年突飞猛进，原因就是进行了半年的voa special English听写和半年的voa standard English听写练习！最开始，很多专有名词（如UNESCO），国家名，人名等都令痛不欲生，但是秉着一贯认真的态度，还是坚持了下来，听力终于进了门。

英语听写需要注意的步骤: 先完整地听1~2遍全文；尽量以五到八个词一个单位，进行听写，听不出来的做标记；听写完毕，再完整地播放一遍，查漏补缺；核对答案，找出没有写出来的单词，分析原因（不认识？还是认识但是发音不熟悉？还是一些a/an/the等小词说的太快？连读导致漏听了某个词？）。

初学者听写的资源推荐：新概念英语二三册（经典的，就不多做介绍了）；VOA special English（ __的慢速英语，全世界英语学习者都在用！除了语速慢，还有就是用词很简单，初学者必备）。

We had a very frank conversation, and it was interesting that both Democrats, Republicans and the president understood what the American people had to say on Election Day. I think very clearly because the president and Democrat leader acknowledge the American people want us to create jobs and cut spending.
It’s no secret that we have had differences that have led us to part ways on many issues in the past. But we are Americans first, and we share responsibility for the stewardship of our nation.
