Step 1 Warming up
1.师生互致问候。
2.教师播放录音，全班学生一起说韵律诗：How Can I Get to the Zoo?
3.揭示并板书课题：Unit 6 Asking the Way Part B。
Step 2 Review
1.教师出示一些表示地点的图片，如：火车站、电影院、博物馆等，在每张图片的旁边写出所乘公共汽车的线路，请学生做对话练习，如：
A:Excuse me. How can I get to the train station?
B:You can take a bus.
A:Which bus can I take?
B:Bus….
2.教师请学生拿出上节课布置的最后一项作业，先在同桌两人间进行对话练习，然后请几位学生上台展示。
如：
A:Where will you go for a holiday?
B:I’ll go to Taiwan.
A:How will you go there?
B:I’ll go there by ship.
Step 3 Presentation
(一)了解本课故事内容。
1.出示课文三幅图，教师根据图意做如下讲解，帮助学生理解本课要学习的故事内容。
(1)教师指着第一幅图说：“This is a….”根据学生的补充，在图中女士旁贴上woman的单词卡片，然后教师接着说：“This is a young man.”边说边在图中男士旁贴上young man的词组卡片。
(2)教师指着第二幅图说：“The young man hurts his leg.So he needs to go to the hospital.”同样贴上need和hospital的单词卡片。
(3)教师指着第三幅图说：“The woman knows the way to the hospital.She wants to help the young man.”在图上贴上help的单词卡片。
(4)情感教育：乐于助人的良好品质。
2.教师播放课文录音，学生边看边听。
3.词汇教学。
(1)教学单词woman，man,young,并出示第一个句子：Are you all right,young man?引导学生用关心、担忧的语气说出这句话。
(2)教学单词need和hospital，并出示句子：I need to go to the hospital.进行教学活动。
然后出示一些图片，请学生看图说句子，如：
I need to go to school.
I need to do my homework.
I need to have some sports.
(3)巩固学习help 的句式，如：I can help you.Can I help you?Let me help you.等。
(二)学习用Go straight.Turn left/right.等句子进行指路。
1.教师说：“If the hospital is far away from us,we need to take a bus or a taxi.If the hospital is nearby,(出示nearby单词卡片，让学生明白其中意思)what can we do?”
2.请学生翻开课本第45页，教师播放课文录音，请学生画出对话中该女士指路的语言。
3.教学句子：Go straight.Turn left/right.
(1)教师播放《兔子舞》的乐曲，学生全体起立，跟着音乐边说边做动作。
(2)利用左手、右手和卡片教学left和right两个单词。
(3)根据动作学习句子：Go straight.Turn left/right.
(4)游戏——我是小小交通指挥员。
游戏规则：请一位学生上台，戴上警察帽，然后发指令，台下学生分小组听指令做动作，做错的学生出局，剩下学生多的一组获胜。
(三)分角色表演课文故事。
1.请学生翻开课本第45页，教师播放课文录音或教学光盘二至三遍，请学生模仿跟读。
2.请学生自由组合，分角色模拟练习。
3.请学生上台展示，看看哪一组配合得好，表演得生动、形象。
(四)巩固练习。
1.完成课本第46页的Ask and answer.部分。
(1)教师播放录音，学生听音模仿。
(2)教师请个别学生分角色读一读对话。
2.完成课本第46页的Read and circle the right answer.部分。
(1)请学生自读对话，完成练习。
(2)教师领读对话，并指出对话中bus stop与bus station的区别。
(3)请个别学生读一读对话。
3.完成课本第48页的Listen and fill in the right letter.部分。
教师播放录音，学生独立完成练习，然后核对答案。
