Unit 7 It's raining !第2课时 Section A(Grammar Focus —3b)一、现在进行时(二)1.在第六单元我们学习了现在进行时,但并不是所有的动词都能用于进行时态。

不能用于现在进行时的情况,有以下几种。

(1)表示存在状态的动词: be, remain 等。

如:汤姆是个好学生。

Tom is a good student.(√)Tom is being a good student.(×)(2)表示感官的动词: hear, see, taste, sound, notice, smell, seem 等。

如:这食物闻起来不错。

The food smells good.(√)The food is smelling good.(×)(3)表示喜欢、厌恶、感情、希望的动词: like, love, hate, prefer, need, want, wish, hope 等。

如:我想要一个书包和一个文具盒。

I want a schoolbag and a pencil -box.(√)I am wanting a schoolbag and a pencil -box.(×)(4)表示占有、从属、构成等关系的动词: have, own, contain(包含), possess(占有)等。

如:我有两个哥哥和一个姐姐。

I have two brothers and a sister.(√)I am having two brothers and a sister.(×)【注意】当have 与其他词一起构成“开会;吃饭;玩得高兴”等意思时,可以用于进行时。

如:They are having a good time.他们玩得很高兴。

(5)表示思想、理解的动词: understand, doubt(怀疑), imagine(想象), know, recognize(认出), believe, remember, forget, think 等。
