( 心 理 学 ) 抑 制 解 除 Disinhibition is used in psychology to describe a lack of restraint manifested in several ways, including disregard for social conventions, impulsivity, and poor risk assessment. Disinhibition affects motor, instinctual, emotional, cognitive and perceptual aspects with signs and symptoms similar to the diagnostic criteria for mania(躁狂). Individuals who show disinhibited behaviour tend to have challenging behaviours including verbal aggression, physical aggression, socially inappropriate behaviour, sexual disinhibition, wandering, and repetitive behaviour.

In family therapy, the term triangulation is most closely associated with the work of American psychiatrist Murray Bowen(1913-1990). He suggested that in the family triangulation system the third person can either be used as a substitute for the direct communication, or can be used as a messenger to carry the communication to the main party. Usually this communication is an expressed dissatisfaction with the main party. Bowen emphasized people respond to anxiety between each other by shifting the focus to a third person.
• Jerry P. Flanzer (2000) contends that alcohol abuse has a high correlation with cases of domestic violence. He points out that clinical observations have found the similarities in the behavioral sets of the family batterers and the alcohol abusers. In addition, he maintains that most families with alcoholism problems also experience domestic violence, and argues that this is because the use or abuse of alcohol by a batterer can prompt an abusive behavior, lower the abuser’s inhibitions against becoming violent, and permit the batterer to rationalize the abuse. Therefore, Flanzer concludes that alcohol is responsible for domestic violence.
