二、说教法和学法：任何一种外语教材在编写过程中都会形成一定的循环往复，但因为是外语学习，学习者有意识的外语积累会显得特别重要，而小学生因为诸多因素限制自行积累所学外语比较困难。
所以教师要利用好教材的同时，在设计教学过程中适时适量地进行滚动性教学，帮助学生不断地对新旧知识进行“滚雪球”，从而温故知新，联系所学知识、积累已有知识、巩固已学知识。
所以本课的学生对话中内容涉及本册第二单元季节及上册Unit4 What can you do?一些语言点。
同时，本课是单词新授课，英语单词音、形的教学，也就是单词读音、拼写的教学，一直是英语词汇教学中的一个重点，也是学生学习的一个难点。

《新课标》倡导任务型教学模式，即让学生在教学活动中参与和完成真实的教学任务，从中体验学习的快乐。
因此我采用“任务——探究——创造”型教学方法，让学生在有趣，开放式的语言环境中，学会观察，思考，讨论和总结，在“用”中发展思维能力、创新意识和各种语言应用能力。
二、说教材。

我将从五大方面进行我的说课：一、说教材本课为人民教育出版社义务教育课程标准实验教科书小学英语五年级下册第三单元My birthday A Let’s learn Group work 的所有内容。
二、说目标本课为第三单元第一课时内容，在第二单元四季的基础上，就12个月份进行四季划分，要求学生能听、说、认、读12个月份的名称并能书写其缩写形式，能够使用句型：When is your birthday? My birthday is in、、、调查班级或小组内同学的生日，意在让学生在情境中学会应用，从而使英语学习有趣且富有意义。
教学重难点：能够听说认读12个月份的名称并能书写其缩写形式；能够运用句型：When is your birthday? My birthday is in、、、教学难点：January,February的读音，12个月份中文与英语单词的对应。
三、说教法（教学设计）英语是一门语言学科，语言的本质是言语。
外语教学应当遵循听、说、读、写的原则。
在小学英语教学中，听说有着重要的意义，但同时要兼顾理解和记忆。
处在这一年龄段的学生，形象思维占优势，抽象思维处于初级发展阶段；记忆又存在这样的特点：记得快，忘得也快。
为了顺利完成以上的教学目标，更好的突出重点，突破难点，按照学生的认识规律，通过学生已知的季节，我直接将12个月份划分成四个季节，每个季节三个月份，这样学起来感觉不是那么复杂，为了不使学习感到枯燥无味，教师采用多种教学手段，如多媒体电化教学比较形象、直观在教学过程中启发、引导学生思维，培养不同层次的学生大胆用英语交际的能力，引导学生采用听、看、读、说的方法来学习本课。
语言是一种交际工具，小学阶段的英语教学又侧重于口语。
为了帮助学生掌握和运用这些句子，培养学生敢于开口，积极实践的良好学习习惯。
