This lesson is from Unit 3, the second volume of Grade Eight,
published by Hebei Education Press. This unit is about
animals. Animals are a very important part of the environment.
But nowadays some of them are in danger of disappearing.
Facing the astonishing fact, each of us should take the
responsibility to save more animals and that is what the main
theme of this lesson.

本节课是冀教版英语八年级下册Lesson 17 save the tigers!本课是第3单元animals are our
friends第5节课，本单元谈论的是动物与人的关系，通过学习本单元，学生了解动物对人类的重要性，从而有保护动物，尊重动物的意识，本节课内容是拯救老虎，通过学习，学生能够了解老虎对人类生存环境的重要性，从而使学生产生保护老虎，保护环境的意识，并在此基础上树立正确的人生观和价值观。
结合单元教学要求和本课特点，依据新课标中“知、能、情”三个维度，谈谈本课的教学目标
二 教学目标
1、知识目标：1. Master the new words and phrases, understand the meaning
of the text.
2. Make the Ss can talk about the animals in English.
2、能力目标：
能理解文章，掌握所学句型，并学以致用。
能用英语交流，谈论老虎对人类，对环境的重要性

rather在此是副词，表示“相当地”。此句是反意疑问句，回忆反意疑问句的变化方法。

二．学生分析
对于八年级的学生来说，对老虎应该有了一定的认识，而且上一个单元学习植物时，了解了植树造林重要性。为本课的如何保护野生老虎的建议起到一定的铺垫作用。
