本节课是在学习上海闸北八中的成功教育和山东杜郎口中学、昌乐二中和即墨二十八中“和谐互助、高效课堂”的基础上，结合我校学生的实际情况，以“低、小、多、快”为原则设计的。下面从教材分析、教学方法、教学过程等方面进行阐述。
一、教材分析
（一）、教材的地位和作用
本单元通过构建过去场景中正在发生的各种情况，引导学生学习并使用过去进行时。主题图呈现的a、b、c、d四个场景（分别是在家做功课，在图书馆看书，在雨中等车，在风雨中行走）与左侧的小图形成呼应（电视里的主持人在问：What were people doing yesterday
at the time of the rainstorm?）, 引出本单元的目标语言——过去进行时。活动1a-1c通过以听力为核心的任务链设计, 呈现目标语言What
were you doing when the rainstorm came? I was (doing…)。整个Section
A的语言学习内容就是用过去进行时来表达某个时间在做什么，并学习用when和while 描述某动作或某事件的发生。活动1a呈现了相关地点的表达，要求学生将这些地点与场景图配对。活动1b通过听力对话，将本单元语法和句型在真实的情景对话中呈现出来，是对全新的语言现象的第一次完整输入。1c要求运用本单元语法和相关句型进行控制性口头操练，完成最基本的语言输出。
（二）、学情分析 本单元教学内容是学生在七年级下学期学习的现在进行时的基础上进一步学习的，学生对现在进行时的意义、结构、用法都有一定的认识，这对学习过去进行时有很大的帮助。但是，学生在口头和笔头表达的时候经常忘记be动词或者忘了在动词后面加-ing形式，所以在过去进行时的教学中需要着重强调它的结构。另一方面，本班学生具有良好的生活习惯和学习习惯，在课堂上能积极参与教学活动，善于表现，基本具备了自主学习和互助学习的能力。

教材分析

学情分析
本班教学42个学生，部分学生接受新知识的能力较强，口头表达能力还可以，少数学生胆子小，基础稍差点儿，基于这一实际情况，在教学过程中，我会面向全体学生，以旧知识带新知识，由浅入深。口语训练，强强示范，强弱搭配，活跃课堂气氛，相互配合，相互学习，共同进步。

The analysis of textbook
The content of this lesson is from Go For It, Grade eight, Book 2, Unit Two. This unit
is about volunteering and charity. In section A , it is about offering help. Students will
learn some verbs and phrases such as: clean up, cheer, cheer up, give out, volunteer.
While section 1a-1c is leading part in this unit, it needs to lead out how to offer help,
which is a difficult part in this unit. By studying of this lesson, students are able to
learn target language: “I hope to work outside. You could help to clean up the city
parks. I’d like to help homeless people. You could ask hospitals to let you visit the
kids and cheer them up.” Students are able to offer help to others when it is necessary.
