一、教材分析
本单元教材属于四年级上册第二模块My family, my friends and me的第二个单元Unit 5 My
friends，即谈论自己的家人、朋友及自身。本单元话题为My friends，主要是从身材、相貌、能力及穿着等方面介绍朋友。事实上，关于第一、三人称的身材、相貌、能力等在前面的学习中已经有所掌握，本单元最大的重难点及目标就是通过大量的输入让学生初步感知动词have/has在人称变化中的转换，这也是本册书语法重难点第三人称单数变化的学习的开始及初步感知。
纵观年段教材特征，四年级本册书开始，学生的故事教材从原来的对话文本变为了描述性的陈述文本，这也为本册书重点语法点第三人称的学习做铺垫，这也在一定程度上引导学生从形象思维想抽象思维转换，所以从上一单元的故事教学开始，教材就转向了陈述性文本，并在故事的学习中进一步学习has的用法。同时，从年段学习发展过程来看，四年级开始我们的英语语言学习也进一步从听说读提升到听说读写的综合提升，因此，教材也增加了Think and write的板块，旨在引起教师对写的技能培养的重视。
