一、教材内容与分析
第19课是单元的起始课，主要围绕学生一周学习和生活的话题展开，授课过程中，通过复习第二三单元的“How many”句型导入新课，通过课上的师生问答情景，引出“How many days are there in
a week?”开始整节课的内容。先是三个三会单词“Sunday ,day , week”,两个四会单词“day、Sunday”；接着听过听力导入课文内容。
二、学生情况分析
四年级学生学了一年多的英语，有了基本的英语基础，具备英语感知能力。本节课是继上两个单元，在听说读写现有能力的基础上，培养学生热爱生活，喜欢学习的良好心理状态。
三、教学目标
1. 认知目标：
能够听说认读单词：“day, week, Sunday”三个三会单词、能够听说读写“day, Sunday”两个四会单词；句型：巩固How many…?以及回答There are...目标语言结构。
2. 能力目标：
将目标语言的应用扩大到生活中，将学过的词汇滚动练习，以旧带新，能运用所学句型与同学交流关于天数的问题。

本课是人教版精通小学英语四年级下册第四单元第四课时。本单元的主要话题是有关星期的问答，主要内容以对话形式呈现。本课时在复习星期日到星期四的基础上学习单词星期五和星期六；复习对话How many days are there in a week ?并且在已有知识的基础上完成一周七天全部单词的学习。学习新句型They are Sunday、Monday、Tuesday、Wednesday、Thursday、Friday、Saturday.将一周七天按顺序表达出来。
基于本课内容，在设计和实施本课时我从学生的学习学习兴趣、生活经验和认识水平出发，将本课分为三个部分，第一部分引导学生复习前三课所学的有关星期的单词，并在复习的基础上引出新授单词Friday和Saturday.这个过程我坚持“以教师为主导，学生为主体，活动为主线”的教学思路，鼓励学生大胆使用英语，留给学生足够的时间和空间来完成任务，让他们勤开口，勤表演，勤操练，充分发挥学生的主观能动性。
第二部分通过各种练习活动巩固所学内容，在练习的过程中我坚以兴趣为导向，积极开展丰富多彩的课堂活动，寓教于乐，变乏味为有趣，激发学生的英语学习动机，调动学生的求知欲和好奇心，使学生积极主动地学习关星期的单词和相关的知识，为第三部的对话练习打下结实的基础。第三部分对话练习融入到生活中，并合理利用现代教育技术，适时适量地为学生创设新颖多变的学习环境，提供丰富生动的学习素材，营造民主和谐的求知氛围，激发实践探索的创新精神。
