• 2.中文四字格的使用
• 除删减不必要的信息外，使用信息浓缩度高的语言也是达到 减少观众加工努力的有效方法。
• 中文拥有四字格的语言优势，因此在字幕翻译中适当运用四 字格是值得提倡的。
• “四字格有三大优点：从内容上讲，它言简意赅；从形式上 讲，它整齐匀称；从语音上讲，它顺口悦耳”（冯庆华， 2002：112）。
• 例1《乱世佳人》：
• Rhett：I think it is hard winning a war with words， gentleman?
• 瑞德：各位，我认为纸上谈兵没有什么用。
• 此例中巧妙地借用了中文四字成语“纸上谈兵”，既能达 意，又能让读者印象深刻。
• 例2：在经典大片《傲慢与偏见》中，当Darcy再次向Lizzy 表白自己 的爱慕之意时，Lizzy 知道是Darcy搞砸了Mr. Bingley 和Jane的 好事，怒不可遏，说道：
• 例2中根据后面的“assassination”，可以很容易的推断出 残剑和飞雪为刺客，所以“assassinator”被删除了，这样， 句就变得非常简洁了。
• 例2.They don’t cover anything when they put it in the fridge. They just stick it in and leave it there till it walks out by itself.
• 此例中“慷慨施舍”、“感恩戴德”、“受宠若惊”四字成语的使用， 既使语言变得十分精炼，朗朗上口，而且很好地传达出Lizzy 当时冷 嘲热讽的感情色彩。
• 由以上介绍可知，字幕翻译中的数量原则要求字幕翻译者 为观众欣赏影片提供足够的信息,但不能太多。
