本课是读写课,以天气为主线,介绍了去美国旅游的最佳时间。

课文从实际出发,选取了美国几个比较有名的旅游胜地,介绍不同地方适宜旅游的时间,并给出了相应的建议,实用性很强,所以本课入手并不难,比较容易调动学生的积极性。

同时也是一篇很好的介绍某地区气候特点和给出旅行建议的写作范本,因而很适合学生仿写。

学情分析天气这个话题学生已不陌生,通过第一单元的学习学生进一步熟悉了有关天气的基本词汇和谈论可能性的句型。

对于because, so和but 引导的状语从句以及提建议的句型学生已经学过,但是使用意识不强。

大部分学生对于旅行这一话题很感兴趣,近年来学生们会选择到美国游学,对美国表现出强烈的好奇心,但对于第一次接触大量不好记的美国地名,以及它们的地理位置不是很清楚。

在阅读过程中需要帮助其理解不同地理位置和气候对旅行建议的影响, 配合小组讨论扩充语料的输入,从而使学生能够仿照文本模式谈论中国某地的气候并给出适宜旅行的建议。
