Never let me go读后感
教师观影随笔 《Never let me go》观后感

This book is one of his compositions.People always like to compare with their friends. It is a big foible of all the people. If other people have a lot of money, we also want to be rich. If all the people around us are poor , we never mind that we are very poor, too. we will not ashamed because of our folly. This is a social problem. If we never possess anything, we will not mind we lost some thing. never let me go读后感

Never Let Me GoIntroduction“Never Let Me Go” is a thought-provoking novel written by Kazuo Ishiguro. The story revolves around the lives of Kathy H., Ruth, and Tommy, who grew up in a boarding school called Hailsham. Set in an alternate reality, the novel explores themes of love, identity, mortality, and the ethical implications of scientific advancements. The Cloning Experiment: A Dystopian RealityCreating Organ DonorsIn the world depicted in “Never Let Me Go,” society has embarked on a controversial experiment involving the creation of clones for organ donation. These clones, known as “donors,” were raised in institutions like Hailsham, where they were told they were special and given a minimal education. However, their ultimate fate was to have their organs harvested. The Existential DilemmaCentral to the novel is the existential dilemma faced by the clones. They grapple with questions of their purpose in life, their humanity, and their mortality. Kathy, Ruth, and Tommy, the main characters, are aware of their inevitable death as organ donors, which adds a poignant layer to their experiences and relationships. The Theme of Love and RelationshipsKathy’s Unconditional LoveKathy H., the narrator of the story, provides insightful reflections on love and relationships throughout the novel. Despite the peculiar circumstances they find themselves in, Kathy develops deep andmeaningful connections with Ruth and Tommy. Her unwavering love for them, despite their flaws, demonstrates the power of human relationships to transcend even the most dire circumstances.Ruth’s Complex RoleRuth, one of Kathy’s closest friends, plays a complex role in the novel. Her actions often demonstrate jealousy, manipulation, and a craving for validation. However, despite her flaws, she also portrays vulnerability and a desire f or genuine connections. Ruth’s character serves as a reminder that even in the face of a bleak reality, individuals have the capacity for both kindness and selfishness.Tommy’s Search for IdentityTommy’s journey within the story is one of self-discovery and thesearch for identity. He starts as a rather hot-tempered young boy, butas he grows older, he becomes more introspective. Tommy questions his purpose and tries to make sense of his existence. Through his artistic pursuits, he attempts to assert his individuality in a world that denies him that right.Reflection on Morality and EthicsThe Dehumanization of ClonesOne of the most disturbing aspects of “Never Let Me Go” is the way society dehumanizes the clones. They are reduced to mere objects, existing solely for the purpose of providing organ donations. Thisraises profound questions about the ethics of using one group of beings to prolong the lives of another and the value society places on human life. The Role of HailshamHailsham plays a significant role in the novel. It is presented as an institution that provides a semblance of normalcy and care for the clones, with an emphasis on their creative abilities. However, it ultimately serves as a tool to deceive the clones into accepting their predetermined fate. This raises questions about the responsibility of those in power and the manipulation of vulnerable populations.Society’s ComplicityThe novel also forces readers to confront society’s complicity in the mistreatment of the clones. The existence of the cloning experiment is widely known, yet society continues to turn a blind eye. This highlights the dangers of apathy and the importance of questioning societal norms and ethical implications. Conclusion: A Haunting Reflection“Never Let Me Go” is a haunting and deeply emotional novel that challenges the reader’s perspective on love, life, and humanity. Through its exploration of the clone’s existences, the novel prompts us to examine our own values and the ethical implications of scientific advanceme nts. Ishiguro’s masterful storytelling and complex characters leave a lasting impression, forcing readers to grapple with profound questions long after the final page.。
Never let me go:温情的告别,永远的怀念

Never let me go:温情的告别,永远的怀念作者:王亚来源:《新教育时代》2014年第16期摘要:《Never let me go》是根据日裔英籍作家石黑一雄的同名小说改编的电影,讲述的是透过凯西的回忆,缓缓揭开了她住在海尔森学校的童年岁月,那是一个已然失落、不可再得见的世界,唯有留存在凯西的回忆之中,小说也深刻探讨了作为复制人是否该有灵魂,以及是什么使得人之所以为人。

Never let me goThe title of my book report is the same title of the book Never Let Me Go. I like it very much among all the books. Most probably because the love and the friendship between the three main characters. The author of this book is a Japanese born in England, whose name is Kazuo Ishiguro. Because I love Japanese anime, I always think that Japanese are imaginative and creative. As a matter of fact, this story is full of imagination. The narrator of the story is Kathy. H. She and her friends used to live in a place called Hailsham. She made friends with Ruth and Tommy there. Tommy was a boy who loved Kathy actually but got together with Ruth first. At Hailsham, they knew Madame who gathered their pictures were afraid of them. One year before they graduated from Hailsham, Miss Lucy who was one of their teachers told them that they were created to donate their vital organs. When they finished the life in Hailsham, they moved into Cottages. Both Kathy and Ruth tried to find their possible around that period of time. After that Ruth and Tommy began donation while Kathy started her new life as a carer. Due to Ruth's poor health, Kathy decided to become her carer. Before Ruth' death, she gave the address of the Madame to Kathy and asked her to defer the donation with Tommy. Later, Kathy became Tommys's carer and they followed Ruth's advice to go to find Mademe, but to their disappiontment, they knew that the deferral didn't exist at all and Hailsham was closed. Finally, Tommy died too, and Kathy was ready for her donation after her last visit to Hailsham. The name of the story is the name of tape which was Kathy's favourite. The name has several meanings. Firstly, the music represented the people and the places that Kathy loved. Also, Hailsham where they were brought up was regarded as these children's home, so they didn't want to leave there and donate their organs, which meant death to them. Secondly, even they were friends, they were separated when they started to donate. Although they loved each other, they couldn't change anything. Thirdly, their love and friendship even the existance of themselves were fake, because the meaning of their live was to donate organs. They didn't want to die withoutleaving anything. Then, I want to say something about the main characters. First of all, the narrator of the story Kathy. The very first impression she gave me was that she was very kind. As a matter of facts, she was fond of Tommy. But when Ruth asked her to help them to get together again, she agreed whithout hesitation. Whenever Ruth asked for help, Kathy would help her just due to their friendship. The plot that she held a pillow and listened to the music Never Let Me Go impressed me a lot. I think she was a girl who had a lot of imagination, otherwise she wouldn't hold a pillow and behaved like a mother. The next one is Tommy. At the very beginning, his behavior showed he was a naughty and innocent boy. Whereas actually, he was quite considerate. He tried to knew more about deferral, for he liked Kathy. When Kathy found her possible in the books, he knew the truth while others didn't. As far as I'm considered, the reason why he finally refused to keep Kathy as his carer was he didn't want her to see the behavior after his donation, which may make Kathy feel scared. But I don't know why he chose Ruth first. Maybe at that time, he didn't realize that he had already loved Kathy. Or maybe he just did't want to hurt Ruth. The third one is Ruth. In my opinion, Ruth was a brave girl and I admire this kind of girls. She knew that Tommy loved Kathy, but she didn't give up. Her orginal purpose of finding the address of Madame was to realize the dream of deferral with Tommy. After she found Kathy was the one that Tommy loved, she gave up and told them the truth. Besides, she even persuaded them to have a try finally. Although I didn't like her at first because she seemed to be aggressive, I was moved when she was dying she let Kathy to find Madame.Madame and Miss Emily was the last ones. They established Hailsham, took care of these 'children' and helped they to grow healthily both physiologically and mentally. It was hard to say whether they were right or not. Bur as for me, they were right. On one hand, if I were one of these 'children', I may support them. Because without admit everyone just afraid of me and Hailsham could be a shelter. On the other hand, to say it cruelly, they could provide healthier organs if they were healthy. In addition, both ofthem were kind and friendly. When Madame saw Kathy hold the pillow she didn't say anything, for she knew actually, they were not able to have their own baby. Also, when Miss Emily said something about smoking, she explained it carefully just in case she hurt their hearts. Therefore, they were admirabale to keep Hailsham for such a long time while they were under the pressure. This is a sad story. When I first read it, I just considered everyone as a normal person. However, with the development of the plots, I gradually found that they were just clones. Their love, friendship even their own existance were fake. But for the ones lived in Hailsham, they were lucy enough to have a happy childhood. Just as Kathy said at the end od the story 'I lost Ruth, then I lost Tommy, but I won't lose my memories of them.' Meanwhile for the ones just like the patient who asked about Hailsham from Kathy, they even didn't have a shelter. From my point of view, it was human's lust for long life span that caused this kind of tragedy. Their own organs had problems and they wanted to live long, so they wanted new ones. They created the clone men without admitting them and they didn't care how those creatures lived. This reminds me of the technology of clone. I don't think that human beings have the right to clone other creatures at all. We are all equal to live on the earth.。
