3. Look them up本部分列出了短文中出现的部分生词,省略号部分为不同层次学生提供了学习的空间,可以将自己需要查阅的单词无限拓展。

学生在查阅字典的过程中,逐渐形成适合自己的学习策略,有效地将生词的音、形、义结合在一起。

二、课前准备1. 在网上搜集或画出世界著名公园的图片或明信片,作为评价卡片时发适时发给表现好的学生。

2. 准备纽约中央公园以及中国公园的图片或短片。

3. 准备两个中西方公园职能的对比表格,以备学生对比时填写。

4. 在网上搜集一些中西方饮食或文化差异的简短文章,提供给学生们阅读。

三、教学步骤与建议1. 热身/复习(Warm-up / Revision)头脑风暴,发散思维:教师为同学们播放一段中国公园的短片或图片,引发大家思考What do Chinese people do in the park? What do you do in the park? 小组讨论后将讨论结果填写在表格里。

提供表格参考如下:2. 新课呈现(Presentation)1)通过阅读,了解中国的公园在前面讨论的基础上,学生阅读语篇的第二段,小组内讨论并总结其大意。

不认识的单词先根据上下文猜测其含义,之后再经过小组讨论寻求同伴帮助,最后再查字典,学生参照此小节的语篇,补全中国公园表格的填写。

教师带领大家阅读此小节语篇,解决学生提出的不易理解的词句。

在进行语篇阅读时,教师要有意识地引导学生学会阅读策略,如抓关键词等。

难点是能充分理解并大致讲述Let’s read的故事。

2.教师准备录音机和录音带。

3.教师准备本单元的挂图。

四、教学过程1、Warm-up(1)师生共唱歌曲“The way I feel”。

(2)日常对话:How are you feeling?Do you like sports/football?What’s your favourite sports?What class are you in?2、Presentation and practice(1)教师出示篮球,教学单词basketball及短语a basketball match,适当扩展a volleyball match, a football match。

并让学生熟悉与球赛相关的动词,如:pass the ball, throw the ball, catch the ball等。

然后将学生分成两队Team A 和 Team B,进行投球比赛,呈现单词:a ball match, between, goal, win the game.其中between…and…教师站在学生中间,I am between A and B.(2)学生阅读短文,回答问题:Which class won the game?How many goals did they get?Who got the first goal?Who got the second goal?(3)学生自由朗读1-2篇,然后完成短文后的问题,并与同桌互相讨论、交流。

同时,老师可以边读边解释词汇和句子结构。

2)掌握新单词教师分别出示park、market、library三个单词的图片,让学生看图说词,熟悉单词的形态和含义。
