It作形式主语时后面没有相应的实际主语如果句首的It不是指天气，时间，情况或前面提到的内容的时候，一般就是当形式主语的，这时句末要有相应的实际主语，实际主语可以是主语从句（须有引导词引导），动词不定式或动名词短语。
有些考生忽略了或不知道这点，前面用了It做形式主语，但后面却没有实际主语。
注意，有形式主语，就同时必伴有实际主语。
二．谓语类错误主谓不一致谓语动词（除单个词的情态动词）没有按照主语的单复数或人称而作相应的词形变化。
这是最普遍最常见而又最顽固的错误，很多考生总是犯这样的错误。
这种错误的道理学生们都知道，一提他们立马就醒悟，究其原因就是平常写得少，加上中文的影响，因而老犯这样的错误。
但有些情况是他们不知道主语的单复数，如What一般是看作单数的，people通常是用作复数的等等。
谓语形式不对这类错误经常看到，如be后面跟了动词原形，情态动词后面接的不是动词原形，单用doing （动词后加ing）作谓语，以及单用done（过去分词）作谓语，等等。
这类错误是因为谓语的基础没打好，谓语是句子的最基本最主要的成分，也是句子的灵魂，有这类错误的同学赶紧要补回谓语的基本知识。
