It is well-known for “suffering from thousand years of drought, its water will never run dry; suffering from endless excessive rain, its water will always be green.”Jinbianxi is one of the most beautiful valleys in the world. it is about 7.5 kilometers. Jinbianxi is like a blue ribbon around the matchless beauty- zhangjiajie. It displays the beauty of “300 strange peaks and 800 fine waters to the utmost”Then what a valley is jinbianxi after all? Mr shen congwen, a famous Chinese writer, praised it to be the “maid of zhangjiajie”. And wu guanzhong-the image promoter of zhangjiajie and a famous Chinese painter, praised it as “a world in fairy stories”. Now let’s go and unveil the mysteries of jinbianxi following the footprints of Mr shen and Mr wu.Please carefully look at the strange trees on the left side. They are dove trees. The dove tree is a perennial woody flower, which blossoms in the end of spring and beginning of summer. The flower is white, but its stigma has slight purplish red, like a dove’s head and mouth. And its flower has two long and big bracts, like a pair of wings. The whole shape of the flower is like a flying dove. It’s a peculiar kind of trees of china, so the foreign friends endearingly call it “the Chinese Dove Flower”.Now please look at both sides of the valley before you. What you’re seeing is a tall and tower-like tree- dawn redwood, also one of the national first-class protective plants. The dawn redwood is very ancient tree. People once thought it had totally disappeared. In 1941, the botanist of our country discovered it in Sichuan province. In 1982, when zhangjiajie was developed, we found large areas dawn redwood and other rare plants of over 3000 species growing here. 自天子山上贺龙公园始，有公路经天子山镇、中湖乡、永定区教字垭镇直达张家界市城区，全程58公里;沿此条经张家界市区可达武陵源区人民政府驻地、张家界国家森林公园，里程分别为114.8公里、89公里。
山顶公路与杨家寨景区、张家界国家森林公园袁家界小景区相通，全程20公里。
从天子山农场往左经丁香溶有简易公路可去老屋场小景区。
旅游旺季，有班车从贺龙公园开往桑植县城。
此外，建有步行游道16代公里。
境内中部高，四周低，海拔800米以上为发育不成熟的石灰岩层，800米以下属厚度很大的石英砂岩层。

We are goingto visit the Nature Reserve of Mt.Tianzi, one of the scenic highlights in the Scenic Area of Wulingyuan, acclaimed as‘the Gem of Forests and Peak's.Enjoying a favorable climate, Mt.Tianzi is picturesque in scenery, overlooking mountains and valleys in the distance. And the landform you are watching is called peculiar quartzose sandstone landform As demonstrated by science, three hundred and eighty million years ago, as the result of lash by sea waves, quartzose sandstone deposited over 500m thick on the sea floor. So, le'ts go hiking in Mt.Tianzi and have a thrilling experience of ‘An Enlarged Bonsai', ‘A Minimized Shangri-La 'and ‘The Gem of Peaks and Forests'.Okay, here we are at Shentangwan,the most mysterious spot in the scenic area of Wulingyuan. Why? Becase Shentangwan has nine levels of rock. Someone once ventured into the valley only to return when he was absolutely horrified on the fourth level of approximately 150meters deep, hearing howling winds accompanied by mournful shrills from the valley enshrouded in total darkness. In 1968, some PLA soldiers planed to cull glossy ganoderma and other rare medicinal herbs in the valley. Bearing guns and slings, they went down the valley. Again, they were forced back when they reached the sixth level. Even seen from there, the valley looked horrible and bottomless. They also saw with telescopes giant boas and other wild beasts in the valley. Since then,, Shentangwan has become a world of mysteries and no man has set foot in it.Now here is “the Terrace for Mustering Officers”where, according to a legend, the Son of Heaven used to drill his mounted, infantry and navy soldiers. You may imagine how great the Son of Heaven was, mustering his officers and giving orders. Have a close look neat in its formation. Do they looklike soldiers, dignified and energetic, going on an expedition?In front of us is the He Long Park, located in Yunqingyan east of Shijiayan. Planned in 1985. The park is the only cultural site on a big scale in Wulingyuan. The statue stands 6.5m high, weighing up to nine tons. It is the largest and heaviest of all the statues of the great people of China in the past hundred year.Just a stone's throw from the back of the statue stands the Overlook of Yunqingyan where you can feast your eyes on the beautiful scenery of ‘the Stone Forest of the West Sea'.
