Oral Business English is a selective course for non-English majors in Guangdong University of Finance and Economics. The course is classroom based, with two 45-minute periods per week, total 36 periods a semester. It is divided into 10 chapters introducing various business topics and situations including face-to-face communication, telephoning, business presentations, job interviews, business travel and entertainment, negotiations, leadership, trade fair, corporate culture and staff motivation. The main purpose of this course is to familiarize students with various business situations and help them master effective communication skills. By doing plenty of pair work, group discussions, and role playing, students are expected to be able to use English appropriately, flexibly and creatively.三、课程性质与教学目的本课程的适用对象为具有一定英语基础的非英语专业本科生。

商务英语谈判口语课程教学大纲课时:54 适用专业:商务英语,国际商务,涉外文秘一、课程性质和任务本课程为英语学习的专业口语课程。

该课程作为商务英语、国际商务、涉外文秘等专业“英语视听说”和“商务英语函电”两门课程的延伸,是让上述专业高年级学生的英语从普通日用口语往商务专业口语方向发展、从商务英语书面磋商往商务英语口头谈判方向发展的必要过程。

本课程约54学时,设在三年级第一学期,是一门专业必修课。

二、教学目的通过教学使学生理解、熟悉对外经贸活动整个过程各个具体环节中常用表达的含义及用法,熟练掌握用英语进行商务谈判所需要的技巧、策略与商务英语专业词汇,并通过大量的专题口语练习,增强学生的语感,提高学生用英语进行商务谈判的能力,努力培养学生成为既熟悉国际商务又熟练掌握英语的高级复合型人才。

三、教学要求本课程的教学与考试都必须以本大纲为依据。

教学过程中要以实操为主,注重对各单元商务口语材料的反复操练。

在对一些常用专业词汇的用法进行必要讲解的同时,要注意避免将本课程演变为商务知识讲解课。

避免只注意内容而忽视训练。

每单元都必须在专题实践练习中复习和巩固相关的商务知识,并保证学习者在练习时要使用到相关专题的常用词汇、表达和常用句子。

这一点对有效学习本课程非常重要。

课程的考试必须衡量学生用英语进行商务谈判的能力,反映学生的实际水平。
