学校应该教知识;学校应该教学生分辨对错。讨论两种观点,自己的观点。

观点:

学校传授学科知识有助于学生提高自己的专业能力然后找到更好的工作。知识是关于人类千百年来对于客观规律的总结。学校传授的知识是系统性的,渐进性的,符合孩子的认知能力,帮助他们获得专业技能,以获得工作机会。比如,经济学可以使学生懂得如何管理自己的财产,商业运行的原理。

学校教授分辨是非的能力可以帮助学生成长对社会更有价值的人。

学校教育孩子分辨是非的能力是在拓宽教育的边界。

Schools have always been expected to help the young acquire knowledge and improve their job skills. Although academic courses are very crucial, students are hard to get a career success if they do not know how to discriminate between right and wrong.

Schools are normally seen as the place where the next generation can increase knowledge to improve their employability. In my view, academic subjects are important to one’s career achievement, but students who do not learn the difference between right and wrong cannot succeed in their working lives.

Many teachers argue that students should concentrate on main subjects which determine whether they could be enrolled in a university. Acknowledge acquired at these disciplines can support their college studies, and help them find a better job. For instance, those students who are good at math at middle school may have chances to analyze data using math model and become a financial analyst or engineer after graduated, while they would not have enough time to learn these main subjects with learning demands of social rules and regulations.

Many teachers suggest that students should concentrate on core subjects, because the performance in these courses can determine whether they can enter university in the future. What students can learn in academic courses can provide a firm grounding for university and help them find decent jobs. For instance, students who acquire mathematical skills at school can build models to analyse data at university and work as financial analyst and engineers after they graduate. They are less likely to focus on key disciplines if they are required to spend time in studying moral principles and behaviors norms.

On the other hand, if schools teach students what is right and what is wrong, they can be more useful to society by making better use of their knowledge. A person with a study about loyalty at school is not likely to sale their company’s confidential information to opponents. If an engineer is responsible, they may design products which consumers can use safely. By contrast, a person is hard to gain success without the conformation of rules even if they have good grades at school. Schools can impart some important virtues into students, which enable them to make good use of their knowledge to contribute positively to society. If one understand the value of loyalty, he or she will not sell confidential documents of his or her employer to other companies. Engineers who are conscious of social responsibilities are more likely to design safe products which benefit consumers. Students who do not have a moral compass can not achieve success, even though they perform well at school. I argue it is important for students to learn how to discriminate right and wrong at school because teaching effects are more effective when peers surround themby. The behaviors of classmates can also be the mirror of themselves and help them practice principles teacher told, which they can get a deep understanding of these rules.

In my opinion, students cannot be successful if they are not able to distinguish right from wrong. Students should learn how to respect teachers and get along well with classmates. Some students like eating fast food, which can cause obesity. If they do not realise these problems, their education and career can be affected adversely.
