Istruzioni per l'usoPremere il pulsante ON / OFF.

To comply with the WEEE Directive,Kramer Electronics has made arrangements with the European AdvancedRecycling Network (EARN) and will cover any costs of treatment, recycling andrecovery of waste Kramer Electronics branded equipment on arrival at the EARNfacility. For details of Kramer’s recycling arrangements in your particular countrygo to our recycling pages at /support/recycling/.3 OverviewThe Galil 6-C consists of a pair of high performance closed back speakers.Mount your Galil 6-C speakers to the ceiling in one of two ways: either directlyonto the ceiling or, for added protection, secure the speakers safely, using ourceiling mounting kit that is provided free (see Section 5.3).The Galil 6-C speakers feature a multi-tap power transformer for selecting 8Ω(bypassing the transformer) or 70V/100V power settings that are suitable for anarray installation. Figure 1 shows an example of how the Galil 6-C can beinstalled in a boardroom setup:Figure 1: Galil 6-C in a Boardroom Setup4 Your Galil 6-C Closed-back Ceiling SpeakersFigure 2 defines the Galil 6-C:Figure 2: Galil 6-C Closed-back Ceiling SpeakerThe following table defines the Galil 6-C hardware items (per speaker pair) foreach model in the series:Two grilles (one shown) Cutout templateThis table defines the ceiling mounting kit items:support ringsone Two pairs of tile railsone of a pair shownEach Closed-back Ceiling speaker is supported by a C-ring and two tile rails. The tile rails prevent the speakers from falling if the tile itself comes out or falls apart, as their ends catch onto the T-grid. When mounting onto the ceiling tiles, use both supports. When mounting onto a sheetrock ceiling, the C-ring alone is used to reinforce the ceiling material.Be sure that the tiles can support the speaker. Smaller sized tiles orfiberglass-type tiles cannot support the weight of the speakers. When this is the case, the speakers will need additional support. Figure 3 shows a schematic diagram of the Galil 6-C:Figure 3: Galil 6-C Schematic Diagram5 Installing the Galil 6-C Closed-back CeilingSpeakersThis section explains how to install the Galil 6-C, that is:∙Choosing the best place to locate your speakers (see Section 5.1)∙Cutting the ceiling tile (see Section 5.2)∙Mounting the Speakers (see Section 5.3)∙Setting up an array installation (see Section 5.4)∙Painting the speakers (see Section 5.4)5.1 Choosing the Best LocationIdeally, locate the speakers above the main listening area. Before doing so, besure that:∙The desired location is free of obstructions, such as electrical piping, AC ducts or water lines, and so on∙There is enough space behind the mounting surface for the speakers∙The rear side of the speaker is not blocked by wall studs or other objects 5.2 Cutting the Ceiling TileTo cut the ceiling tile, do the following:1. Remove the circle in the supplied template.Keep this template for later use as a mask, as you may want to paint the speakers (seeSection 5.4)2. Mark the opening in the correct location by tracing the hole in the template.3. Cut out the hole according to the template or with a circular cutter set to theappropriate cutout size.Initially, you can cut a smaller area inside the marked hole just to be sure that thespace above the speakers is clear4. Route the wiring from the amplifier to the speakers’ cutout holes, taking carenot to place them next to electrical wires or at least at a distance of abouttwo feet from an AC line.Do not nail or staple the speaker wires. If you are mounting the speakers onto a ceiling tile, remove the ceiling tiles whereyou plan to install the speakers. Use the template to trace and then cutout thespeaker hole over an empty box.The closed-back ceiling speakers are supported by the ceiling mounting kit (twoC-rings and two pairs of tile rails; the tile rails prevent the speakers from falling ifthe tile itself comes out or falls apart, as their ends catch onto the T-grid). Whenmounting onto the ceiling tiles, use both supports.Be sure that the tiles can support the speaker. Smaller sized tiles orfiberglass-type tiles cannot support the weight of the speakers. When this is the case, the speakers will need additional support. When mounting onto a sheetrock ceiling, the C-ring alone is used to reinforce theceiling material.5.3 Mounting the SpeakersTo mount the Galil 6-C, do the following:1. Place the C-ring over the hole cut in the ceiling tile (on the “ceiling” side).Place it around the hole so that the tabs are located in parallel to the tileedges.8 Galil 6-C - Installing the Galil 6-C Closed-back Ceiling SpeakersFigure 4: Mounting the Galil 6-C2. Place the tile rails on the tile and snap them into the two tabs on the C-ring.Align the rails so that the ends extend over the T-channel grid.3. Insert a screw through each tab on the C-ring to secure the rails.4. Connect the speaker wires to the appropriate connector terminals:▪PIN 1 and PIN 2 are connected internally and are positive (+)▪PIN 3 and PIN 4 are connected internally and are negative (-)Screw the hold-down screws on the connector until tight, using a smallscrewdriver. You can connect the speakers in the two following possible layouts:▪Wiring in parallel: connect the wire pair of the subsequent speaker to PIN 2 and PIN 3. When one input connector is removed, subsequentspeakers will remain connected (see Figure 3)▪Daisy-chaining: connect the wire pair of the subsequent speaker toPIN 1 and PIN 4. When one input connector is removed, subsequentspeakers will be disconnected (see Figure 3)5. Plug the connector into the socket in the terminal cup of the speaker (seeFigure 5).6. Run the wires through the wires’ opening in the input terminal cover plugand then into the terminal block connector of the speaker.Galil 6-C - Installing the Galil 6-C Closed-back Ceiling Speakers 910Galil 6-C - Installing the Galil 6-C Closed-back Ceiling SpeakersFigure 5: Plugging and Securing the Cable7. Push the speaker into the ceiling hole until the front baffle rim is leveled with the ceiling.8. Tighten the mounting tabs by turning the screw counter clockwise (seeFigure 6).Turning one quarter of a circle rotates the tab outwards; after that the screw is turned totighten the tabs to the rear side of the ceiling surfaceWhen tightening the mounting tabs, the tabs automatically turn outward, thus clamping the speaker to the wall from its rear side.Do not over-tighten the screws. It may cause damage to both the speakers and the surface.Figure 6: Tighten the Mounting Tabs9. If required, you can further secure the speaker by connecting the speaker support ring to an independent secure anchor point.10. Adjust each speaker to the appropriate tap setting before installing the grille (see Figure 7).iFigure 7: Adjust Tap Selector11. Install the grilles to the speakers:▪Push the grille fastener into the hole in front of the baffle▪Press the grille into place until the front of the grille is flush with the rim of the baffle▪Check that the grille is securely seatedTo remove the grille, insert two bent paper clips into the holes in the igrille and carefully pull it down. Repeat this around the perimeter ofthe grille until it is completely removed.5.4 Setting up an Array InstallationWhen installing Galil 6-C in an array installation layout, you have to define thedistance between speakers as well as the layout pattern (square or hexagonal). The distance between speakers is set according to the speakers’ dispersionangle, the uniformity of the coverage desired and the budget. The coverage angle of the speaker determines the coverage area and the numberof speakers required in the array installation. Two patterns are usually used forarray installations, square (see Figure 8) or hexagonal (see Figure 9), dependingon the shape of the installation area. The speakers are positioned according totheir coverage area.Galil 6-C - Installing the Galil 6-C Closed-back Ceiling Speakers 1112Galil 6-C - Installing the Galil 6-C Closed-back Ceiling SpeakersFigure 8: Square LayoutFigure 9: Hexagonal LayoutYou can set the power on each speaker to get the desired power level in different installation areas.Figure 10shows an example of parallel wiring in a square array installation:Figure 10: Square Layout Parallel WiringGalil 6-C - Installing the Galil 6-C Closed-back Ceiling Speakers 135.5 Painting the SpeakerYou can paint the speakers before or after they are installed. When painting before installation:∙Clean the rim and grille with mineral spirits or other light solvent that is unlikely to damage the surface∙Spray with color by holding the spray can at an angle of 45︒When spraying the grille, take care not to clog the holes in the grilleas this will greatly reduce the sound quality of the speakers. When painting after installation:∙Use the circle that you cut out of the template as a paint mask∙After you finish painting, remove the paint mask14 Galil 6-C - Installing the Galil 6-C Closed-back Ceiling Speakers6 Technical SpecificationsGalil 6-C - Technical Specifications 15For the latest information on our products and a list of Kramer distributors, visit our Web site where updates to this user manual may be found.

Multibeam echo sounderHigh resolution seabed mapping systemSystem overviewThe EM 710-MK2 multibeamecho sounder is a high to very high resolution seabed mapping system capable of meeting all relevant survey standards. The coveragefor EM 710-MK2 is increased by replacing the receiver interface boards with new boards and new transceiver SW. The transducer arrays are the same. The system configuration can be tailored to the user requirements, allowing for choice of beam widths as well as transmission modes. The minimum acquisition depth is from less than 3 m below its transducers, and the maximum acquisition depth is approximately 2800 m, dependant upon array size. Across track coverage (swath width) is up to 5.5 times water depth, to a maximum of more than 3000 m.Echo sounder models There are three basic versions of the EM 710-MK2 system, with different range performances:• EM 710‑MK2 ‑ Full performance version.• EM 710S‑MK2 ‑ CW pulse forms only.• EM 710RD‑MK2 ‑ Short CW pulse only.Choice of beamwidthsThe along track beamwidth depends upon the chosen transmit transducer configuration with 0.5,1 and 2º available as standard. The receive beam width is either 1 or2º depending on the chosen receive transducer.Innovative acoustic principlesThe EM 710-MK2 operates at sonar frequencies in the 65 to 100 kHz range in shallow waters, and can use frequencies down to 40 kHz to extend coverage in deep waters. The transmit fan is divided into three sectors to maximize range capability, but also to suppress interference from multiples of strong bottom echoes. The sectors are transmittedsequentially within each ping, and uses distinct frequencies orwaveforms.EM 710S‑MK2 and EM 710RD‑MK2both use CW pulses of differentlengths. The full performance version,EM 710-MK2, supports even longer, compressible waveforms (FM sweep).Fully stabilized andfocused beamsThe system applies beam focusingto both transmit and receive beamsin order to obtain the maximumresolution also inside the acousticnear‑field.During transmission, focusing isapplied individually to each transmitsector with a focus point on the rangedefined by the previous ping, to retainthe angular resolution in the nearfield. Dynamic focusing is appliedto all receive beams. The transmitbeams are electronically stabilizedfor roll, pitch and yaw, while thereceive beams are stabilized for rollmovements.Controlled, dense andaccurate soundingsThe beam spacing may be set to beeither equiangular or equidistant. The maximum swath coverage may belimited by the operator either in angleor in swath width without reducingthe number of beams. A combinationof phase and amplitude bottomdetection algorithm is used, in orderto provide soundings with the bestpossible accuracy. The number of beams varies with thebeamwidth. The system generates400 soundings per swath for 1º RX,and 200 soundings for a 2º RXsystem. (800 and 400 in dual swathmode)TransducersThe active elements of theEM 710-MK2 transducers are basedupon composite ceramics, a designwhich has several advantages, inparticular increased bandwidth andtighter performance tolerances. The 1x2º and 2x2º versions canbe mounted on a pole for portabledeployment. For larger transducer versions arepermanent mounting like; flush withthe hull, in a blister or in a gondolaconstruction a possible solution.EM 710-MK2 can also be deliveredwith ice-reinforced transducer anda strengthen mounting frame forinstallation on icebreakers.Transceiver UnitThe EM 710-MK2 electronicssystem is a true wideband design. The transmitter circuits are fullyprogrammable to support anyfrequency or pulse form. The use ofFM sweep as a pulse form allowsfor more energy per pulse and thusincreased range performance, withoutany sacrifice of range resolution. Thenon-saturating and low noise receiversand A/D converters are of floatingpoint type, resulting in a dynamicrange of more than 140 dB. Theconventional TVG compensation isno longer needed. Filters, correlatorsand beamformers are fully digitalimplementations, and the beamforming method is by time delays, toallow for the wide frequency band ofthe system. The 2 x 2º RD version is deliveredwith a shorter (portable) transceivercabinet.Operator StationThe Operator Station is the HWS highperformance PC workstation usingWindows ®. The HWS is normallysupplied with a 24” industrializedLCD monitor. Support for a secondmonitor is included. A spillproofUS keyboard and a standard opticalmouse is normally supplied.Advanced functions• Integrated seabed acoustical imaging capability is included as standard. Software to use this data for automatic seabed classification is available from many third‑party suppliers.• A real time display window for water column backscatter is available. Logging of water column data and of raw stave data (before beamforming) is a system option.• A high density beam processing mode provides up to 400 or 200 soundings per swath. In order to make the soundings independent, a limited range window is set inside each beam for each sounding. In practice this is equivalent to synthetically sharpening the beam width. (Down to 25% in the outer beams)• The system generates two separate alongtrack swaths per ping. With dual swath the system can produce up to 800 ping.soundingsper• The Operator Station includes the necessary operator controls for setting up and running the system, data logging and system testing.• The Seafloor Information System (SIS) includes an extensive set of graphical displays for data quality control, as well as system calibration and other tools which are required. SIS supports on-line real-time data cleaning to improve the overall survey efficiency.• Post-processing software for the EM 710-MK2 is available from many third-party suppliers.390849 / Rev.C / November 2014Strandpromenaden 50P.O.Box 111N-3191Horten,NorwayKongsberg Maritime ASTelephone:+4733023800Telefax:+4733044753******************** Frequency range 40 to 100 kHz Max ping rate 30 HzSwath coverage sector Up to 140 degrees Min depth3 m below transducerRoll stabilized beams Yes, ±15°Pitch stabilized beams Yes, ±10°Yaw stabilized beams Yes, ±10°Sounding patternsEquiangular Equidistant High DensityMax depth (approximate values)0.5 x 1°EM710-MK2EM710S -MK2EM710RD -MK22800 m 1750 m 600 m CW transmit pulses 0.2 to 2 ms 0.2 to 2 ms 0.2 ms FM sweep pulseMax. 120 msNoNoTransducer choices 0.5 x 1°1 x 1°1 x 2°2 x 2°Availability Not EM 710RD‑MK2Not EM 710RD‑MK2All models All models TX dimensions (L x W x H)1940 x 224 x 118 mm 970 x 224 x 118 mm 970 x 224 x 118 mm 490 x 224 x 118 mm RX dimensions (L x W x H)970 x 224 x 118 mm 970 x 224 x 118 mm 490 x 224 x 118 mm 490 x 224 x 118 mm Max no. of soundings per ping (Dual swath mode)800800400400Kongsberg Maritime is engaged in continuous development of its products, and reserves the right to alter the specifications without further notice.Transceiver Unit dimensions (W x H x D)540 x 841 x 750 mm (including shockabsorbers)540 x 573 x 750 mm ‑ Standard for EM710RD‑MK2 2 x 2° version (Bulkhead mounting)EM ® is a registered trademark of Kongsberg Maritime AS in Norway and other countries.0.5 x 1°1 x 1° 1 x 2°2 x 2°Max coverage winter*2650250023502100Max coverage summer*3050285026502450Max depth winter*2650250023502200Max depthsummer*2800270025502400* Estimated depth and coverage for EM 710-MK2, based on BS= -20dB, NL= 45 dB, f = 40 kHz。

Mar 2015PowerDual rail DC power (from ±3.5V ~ ±10V) should be supplied to CSEVB6101R3 through the connector “J2”, where positive voltage should be supplied to “+VDD ” and negative voltage should be supplied to “-VDD ”.Audio InThe audio input signal can be applied to CSEVB6101R3 through either 3.5mm audio jack (connector “J1”) or direct line -in (connector “J15A ”). For any case, the maximum level of input single should be limited to ±0.52V at VDD = ±10V. The power level of the audio input to the input CS6A4983 amplifier can be controlled via the “Volume Control ” located next to the 3.5mm audio jack.It should be noted that 3.5mm audio input and direct line -in should not be applied to CSEVB6101R3 simultaneously.Output SpeakerOutput speaker (with load impedance equals or greater than 4Ohm) could be used with CSEVB6101R3 through the connector “J4”.To avoid damage of the speaker during power on/off of the CSEVB6101R3, external speaker protection circuit (uPC1237 based speaker protection circuit is recommended, but other compatible speaker protector circuit could also be used) should be used. The connection of the speaker protection circuit is shown below.Canaan SemiconductorRevision HistoryRev A. Mar 2015Canaan SemiconductorRev A.
