通过对人物现在以及以往事迹的介绍,交叉使用不同的时态,引导学生对所学的语言知识进行整合运用。
本单元功能结构以Who ’s that man? He ’s Wang Wanqing. What does he do? He ’s a doctor. He is from... But he worked... 为基本句型进行语言输入,使学生通过本单元的学习,能用英语询问和介绍他人的姓名、职业等更详尽的个人信息,能读懂并仿写简短的英文人物传记。

1. 教授单词pupilT: She is a student in a primary school. She is not in a middle school. So she is a pupil, too.课件出示小学、中学、大学的图片背景,强调她是小学生。
T: ... is a pupil. You’re all pupils.再次强调pupil,帮助学生理解和巩固词汇,鼓励他们加以运用。
S: I’m a pupil. ... is a pupil, too.(检测学生的学习效果)全班看着教学卡片拼读,引导学生注意第一个音节pu中的u读长音[ju:],也就是字母音。
第二个音节pil中的字母i不发音。
鼓励最先记住单词pupil的学生上前将该单词写在黑板上。
2. 教授单词scientistT: Who’s this man?课件出示爱因斯坦的图片,站在屏幕旁边用手指若问。
Ss: He is Einstein.T: What does he like?Ss: He likes science.(引导学生回答)T: Yes, you are right. He likes science, and he is a sc ientist. What does he do?课件出示单词science,然后逐步呈现scientist,用醒目的颜色呈现ist。
Ss: He is a scientist.请不同的学生重复回答,并检查学生的发音。
T: Do you want to be a scientist?确定学生在教师的启发下能理解这句话的意思,并请想当科学家的学生上台来写出这个单词。

3. 教授词汇police officerT: what does he do? (课件出示警官的图片进行提问)Ss: He is a policeman. (学生会用已经学过的词汇进行回答)T: Yes. He is a policeman. And he is a police officer.课件在这个警官的周围出现更多普通的警察,通过比较让学生更好地理解police officer的意思。
T: Is your father a police officer?如果恰好班里有同学的父亲或其他家人是警官,可以请学生上台来拿着词汇卡领读、拼读,并写在黑板上,增加其自豪感。
引导学生用My ...is a police officer.或I want to be a police officer. 练习词汇。
4. 教授单词singer和reporter(1)课件展示王菲唱歌的图片。
T: Who’s that woman with short hair?Ss: She is Wang Fei.T: What can she do?S: She can sing songs.(引导学生回答)T: Yes. She can sing songs well. She is a singer.操练的方式可参考上面几个环节,用... is a singer.让学生说出更多的歌星。
(2) 课件出示白岩松的照片,教授间汇reporter。
方式同上。
新词汇教授完毕后,教师可再用课件出示所有含有醒目颜色字母的职业词汇,向学生讲解一般职业类词汇的变化规律。
并鼓励学生积极参与、踊跃举例,借此机会为学生扩充更多职业类的词汇。
5.巩固活动1)教师播放录音,让学生听并跟读Let’s learn部分的词汇。
2)学生组内共同学习词汇,加强理解和识记。
