新托福口语考前30天练习进度有关各个单项内容的复习情况与考试注意事项问:新托福的词汇要求是多少?那本词汇书比较合适?答:所谓“词汇要求多少”,很难有标准的答案。

就狭义来说,“词汇要求”一般指托福阅读而言(托福词汇书大都主要根据旧托福阅真题的词频统计编写而成)。

新托福毕竟还是旧托福的延伸,就目前考过的CDers 反馈,阅读上的词汇要求是有所增加,但也不是生词满天飞。

旧托福时代至少要掌握1000多核心(高频词汇),一般都推荐背2000-3000的词汇书,而这些词汇书应该也是新托福时代很有价值的材料。

但考虑到词汇量增加的问题,建议有时间的话最好背诵王玉梅的《TOEFL词汇》(收录大约5000个词),时间很紧张的话,只能背诵李笑来的《TOEFL核心词汇21天突破》(收录核心词汇2140个)但值得注意的是,新托福时代听力的比重也增加明显,作文题量也有增加,还增设了口语。

所以不仅要掌握阅读考试需要的词汇识记,还要掌握听力中各种单词的听觉形象、作文常用词汇的拼写、变型和口语中常用词汇的发音等。

这些单词目前较少有针对性的词汇表(听力方面可以参考下载贴编号OL08的“许杨听力习语”),但如果能在做听力题和看作文范文(包括一些新托福教程的口语范文)时多多积累,应该不难掌握。

新托福口语考前30天练习进度
问:听说新托福的听力会有各种口音(英国、澳大利亚、甚至印度)?
答:ETS是表示过,会加入一些世界各地的口音。

但根据CD上考过的朋友们的反馈,目前还不明显,或者说没有遇到因为明显的口音问题影响做题的情况。

问:新托福听力好长啊,能不能边听边做题?
答:新托福听力长度的确明显增加,但题目的显现是由计算机程序控制的,要等听力放完了才会显示出来。

所以旧托福时代预读选项在看体的技巧在新托福时代也没什么用处了。

而新托福考试更需要锻炼记录笔记的能力,具体可以看导航帖的相关帖子。

问:托福考试时听力部分的语速如何?比起老托福是快是慢?比起Longman教程等材料又如何?
答:据很多考过的CDers反映,考试实际难度在朗文和Kaplan之间。

具体到听力难度、速度基本也是在这两份材料之间,但具体一定要说速度道底是快是慢的话,新托福比较特别,有些题慢,有些题快,所以也不好说新托福的速度比老托福是快是慢。

Iswear1230同学的机经里就说道了听力速度会变的事情。

问:新托福听力好像可以听两遍,是怎么回事?
答:新托福听力中新增了一种题型——“Listen Again”。

即在某篇文章的听力结束后,对其中某一部分回放,然后要求考生对所听信息进行判断,回答题目。

其实该提醒回放的,一般只是一个人讲的一大段话中的几句,或几个人对话中的几句,很短,从这个角度上说有点像旧托福的partA。

不过新托福听力考试中也只是这类题目会回放录音中的片段,所以不能说新托福听力可以听两遍,不过这种Listen Again由于是回放录音题,所以应该比较简单,做错就可惜了。

问:我正在练习听写,请问一定要一字不漏地听写出来吗?
答:听写其实具体大致可以分两种,一种是地毯式,一字不漏,但一般只能一句一句听写,多则两三句。

有助于扩大听力词库和锻炼大脑短期记忆。

另一种是整段整段地听,然后回忆整段内容,用自己的话概括,这中练习比较接近作文和口语的综合考试要求,不求字字听懂,但求抓住要点。

两种训练分别有不同的效果,最好都练。

问:考试中作文要不要写题目?
答:新托福写作的评分标准中并没有要求写题目,而且,旧托福时代也没什么人写题目,照样很多人得了满分。

问:新托福的作文要用键盘打字,该怎么练习?
答:打字其实能很方便地练习,找一两本英语书籍,甚至报纸,如果是旧托福范文最好不过。

把印刷品的文章用键盘打字输入进电脑就行,一般建议用记事本(也就是TXT文本文档练习)。

用记事本打完字后,粘贴到word中,让电脑来检查拼写(一般word软件已经默认了会自动检查拼写)。

连续输入若干篇文章后,打字速度将大大提高。

问:新托福的作文中,输入错的单词会不会被自动修正?
答:不会。

而且不仅是单词的拼写不会修正,包括包括空格, 换行,大小写都不会修正。

所以推荐在记事本(也就是TXT文本文档)里练习,可以比较逼真的模拟考试界面。

问:新托福作文考试文字输入的操作界面,是不是和GRE考试一样?
答:基本一样,不过有一个比较明显的差别,就是GRE作文考试中,除了一般打字输入,还有剪切cut和粘贴paste两个功能(按钮),但新托福作文考试,除了这两个功能(按钮),还有一个复制copy(按钮),所以可以对自己输入的内容进行剪切和复制的操作。

当然考试时虽然也有作文题目显示,但无法对题目文字进行操作,这个和G考试也是一样的。

问:新托福的综合写作中,是不是听力材料都是反驳阅读材料的?
答:只能说新托福考试考到现在,绝大多数都是反驳的。

但官方材料(OG)还是说有可能会考支持的,当然具体到复习备考的时候,可以重点练习反驳类的题目。

问:新托福有口语考试,要不要找一个人一起练习口语?
答:新托福的口语考试,并不是像我们以前常说的那种一对一闲聊式的口语对话,而是答题者对着PC进行。

PC播放一种(生活或学术)情景,答题者在一定的时间限制内结合听到与看到的信息,说出一段带有逻辑性的会话。

更像是一种口述的“命题作文”。

而且新托福口语的“互动”只是一次性的,也就是考生在收到题目所给信息后,进行回答,所说的话被PC录音作为答案。

PC并不会根据考生所回答的内容进一步提问(这和雅思口语考试是考生与考官之间对话式的考试很不一样)。

所以找人进行闲聊式的对话,对新托福口语考试不会有很针对性的帮助。

但是对照新托福作文就会发现,口语题目其实和作文题十分相似,只是具体的“回答”的方式不同。

所以,练习口语能和作文同时进行。

可以参考过去练习作文常用的“互改”式办法,也就是大家互相监督检查对方的回答,进行互改。

所以说,如果找人练习口语是用“互改”的方式,还是能对新托福口语产生针对性的帮助。

问:现在有什么比较好的口语练习材料?
答:口语的前两题,特别是第二题,可以用TWE185材料来练习,目前顶置下载贴编号IW03、OW03都是不错的材料。

后四题,可以参考OG和Delta 的提示、范文,好好利用应该够了。

目前市面上其他口语专向书籍,都不是很好,尤其是特训系列,不建议使用。

问:听说新托福口语考试是大家在考场里一起考,每个考生并没有隔离的单间,会很吵,是这样么?
答:的确,根据ETS的说法,这样更能有效模拟现实生活中比较嘲杂的环境。

所以解决的办法是平时就在一个比较嘲杂的环境中练习。

另外,根据考过的CDers反映,新托福考试先进入考场的同学可以先考,所以可以考虑采用先考的策略比其他人先进入口语考试阶段。

不过也有人认为如果抗干扰能力够强,干脆晚到考场,比别人晚考口语,这样可以听到其他学生所回答的内容,来“预测”口语试题。

问:我的发音一直不太标准,带有较浓的口音,会不会影响口语成绩?
答:其实参照新托福口语评分标准,口音不是考察内容。

要想考好口语,前提基础是要能让外国“阅卷”人听懂。

在国外,口音浓厚的印度学生和美国人交谈基本没什么障碍,反倒是发音比较标准的中国学生说的话常让美国人听不太明白,原因主要在于重音和节奏。

因为老外们日常说话有一个基本的节奏,句子中的
重音则是表明句意的关键,老外往往依赖句子的节奏和其中的重音来理解句子的含义。

所以,地道的口音可以不学,但句子的重音和节奏不能不练,跟读听力材料是很好的练习方法。

问:据说新托福考试结束时,电脑回问要不要这次考试的成绩汇报,这是怎么回事?
答:这里的成绩汇报,有两重含义。

一个含义是将考试成绩寄送给(最多)四所学校,也就是常说的免费送分。

另一种含义是可以让自己查到(考后3周可以查分)这次考试的成绩。

但要注意的是,这个成绩汇报的作用是同时发生的,也就是说,如果已经填了免费送分的学校,选择要成绩汇报,那么电脑会把成绩送过去,也会让考生可以在三周后查分。

但是如果觉得这次考试不理想,不想让ETS把成绩寄给学校,选择不要成绩汇报的话,那么自己也不会知道自己考试的成绩。

当然,如果考前报名时没有填写学校,而此时选择要成绩汇报,那么考后三周就可以查成绩了。

目前,大陆报名网有这么几条消息:
1.考试成绩通常情况下,考生可在考试结束约15个工作日后登陆报名网站查询成绩。

ETS正式打印的成绩单随后将发到各考场供考生领取。

需要寄送成绩单的考生,可事先与考场管理人员约定办理成绩单有偿寄送事宜。


2.“确认注册考试后,下一个页面会要求您输入四个免费送分学校的信息,如您还没有这方面的信息,可暂时不填。

但请注意,如您想以后再给学校送分,那么每送给一个学校您就要支付人民币136元。


3.“恢复已取消的成绩考试当天,如您在考试结束后已取消自己的成绩报告,此后如希望恢复该成绩,您可在考试日后10天内提出向呼叫中心提出申请,费用是人民币160元。

申请恢复已取消的成绩,您须先支付费用,通过“查看已注册信息”下载打印申请表,填写完毕、签字,然后传真至86-10-8252-0250。


目前尚未明了的地方有这么几处:
1.大陆报名网说“通常情况下,考生可在考试结束约15个工作日后登陆报名网站查询成绩”是否包含了考生取消“考试汇报”的情况,即考生取消了成绩,就不能“在考试结束约15个工作日后登陆报名网站查询成绩”?
2.成绩汇报选择否,而之后10天内不提出以“恢复已取消的成绩”,是否意味着这次考试的成绩永久作废?
3.如果考生先前填报了免费送分,但考试结束时成绩汇报选否,而之后又申请“恢复已取消的成绩”,是否除了考生自己可以看成绩,送分仍将被进行?。
