GENRES OF POETRY
Conventionally, genologists classify poetry into two major domains: the lyrical and the narrative;. 1) The Lyrical Poem The term lyric signifies any fairly short, nonnarrative poem presenting a speaker who expresses a state of mind or a process of thought and feeling. Lyrics fall into two classes, the folk and the literary. And there are subgenres of lyrics.
