父母管理孩子失控的核心原因在于这样一个事实，即如今父母对学龄儿童的监管少于十年前或二十年前的父母所做的。当今父母管理的随意时如此普遍以至于只有当我们将现在孩子的生活和六十年代或七十年代孩子的生活相比较，我们才意识到现在的父母是多早地放任了孩子。
