王屯小学张海莲英语在我国作为第二种语言学习，由于缺乏语境，难以给每一位学生实践与交际的机会，因此两极分化非常严重。
英语学困生是一个特殊群体，具体表现为性格孤僻、自卑甚至无所谓，以致不愿表达自己的意见，不懂装懂，日积月累，他们对英语学习以渐渐失去兴趣，因为他们无法体会到成功的喜悦。
怎样改变学困生这种怕学、厌学的状况呢？
措施如下：
一、师帮生
教师在学困生转化工作中起着“导”和“演”的双重作用。
苏霍姆林斯基说过：“教育才能的基础在于深信有可能成功地教育每个儿童，我不相信有不可救药的儿童、少年或男女青年。
”每一位教师都应深信这一点。
1、抓重点。
一位英语教师担任多个班英语教学的现状在近几年无法改变，据统计，一个英语教师要担任十几个学困生的转化工作，实际操作起来真的很困难。
因此，应抓住重点，先帮助那些在短时间内容易转化过来的学生，然后再帮助其他的学生。
2、扬优点。
美国心理学家威谱.詹姆斯有句名言：“人性最深刻的原则就是希望别人对自己加以赏识”。
表面上，学困生表现出一副无所谓的态度，其实，他们比其他学生更渴望得到老师的表扬。
我们可以从这一点入手，让他们的闪光点全部展现出来，并适时表扬，让他们对自己有信心。
3、补弱点。
每一个学困生的情况各不一样，有的是因为智力问题，多次的失败使他们对自己失去信心；有的是非智力问题，只是习惯较差，自觉性不强；还有的是因为家庭问题……。
教师可针对具体情况，对症下药。
由于英语教师任课多、带班多的特点，接触学生的时间是少之又少，这里主要讲讲如何发动学生的力量，帮助英语教师做好学困生的转化工作。
二、生帮生
1、师徒结对。
首先把优生和学困生的名字罗列出来，让他们自由进行师徒结对，定好激励制度。
2、制定计划。
如一星期或一个月内，师徒共同的目标是什么？具体的做法什么？
三、具体措施如下：
1、思想上树立他们的自信心
对学习有困难的同学，要积极引导他们参加教学活动，多鼓励他们。
就算是一句简单的话语：“你的字很漂亮”、“你坐得很好，老师喜欢你……”也能加强师生间的情感沟通。
师生之间应在合作、平等的基础上建立起互信融洽的师生关系。
这样才能促进学生学业的进步和思想的转化。
树立他们的自信心。
多问他们简单的问题，让他们有机会体会成功的喜悦。
2、待学困生要有爱心
了解学困生，理解他们，尊重爱护他们。
在课堂上优先对待他们，不要总把目光停留于优等生。
要心里时刻装着学困生，时时处处为他们着想。
如面对调皮掏蛋的学生时，教师要有涵养，不要急躁冲动，要机智地、巧妙化的让问题保留，待静以后再想办法妥善处理。
3、教给学困生学习方法
四年级的新知识内容较多。
学困生普遍存在基础不扎实的情况。
从简单的、他们有能力接受的方法去做。
例如：自我复习单词并进行归纳，定时到老师处进行信息反馈，检查复习效果，及时在班里表扬鼓励。
亦可求助于录音机、成绩好的同学或老师。
4、在学习的过程中提高学困生的学习兴趣
帮老师做做小事、抄抄写写，帮老师把卡片涂色。
叫他们做，亦即从侧面说明老师重视他们，看得起他们，没有遗弃他们。
他们的心里总会有小小感激。
正所谓“亲其师，而信其道吧！”在谈心、交往的过程中，要把学生学习英语的兴趣吸引过来，可进行英语知识方面的交谈，用行动去证明作为老师的你是从心里面想他们学好。
5、与家长多联系、齐抓共管
充分发挥家长学校的管理作用，与家长多联系，齐抓共管，促其进步。
