拖延症Procrastination[引言]拖延症Procrastination,来自拉丁词根Pro-(表“向前”)与“Cras”(crastinus,表“明天”),是SAT考试填空常考单词,更是近年诸多大好青年染上了的不治之症。

以前总是在课上当成重点段子讲,希望能引起大家重视。

原因之一,众所周知我自己就是一个重度拖延症患者,常常被折磨得形销骨立。

最近症状略有好转,对抗拖延症有些小的心得,于是给大家分享一下,与天下大大小小procrastinators 共勉。

文章分成四个部分,需要急药救命的孩纸也可直接下拉到第三部分红字。

一、THE CAUSES OF PROCRASTINATION 拖延症的原因没有人是“天生”的拖延症患者。

在我们懵懵懂懂的时期,老师和家长为我们规划好了每一天每一个小时的任务,我们也就跟着完成,每天按课表上课,完成作业第二天交,拖延并未产生。

拖延症的形成期往往在高中后段或大学初期,内部条件为自我意识的完善而外部条件为独立自由的环境形成。

说的学术了一点,其实就是说有一天你发现要完全自己选择目标、分配时间的时候,才会有拖延症形成的可能。

[原因1] PERFECTIONISM 完美主义大多数拖延症患者最早沦陷的原因。

要写论文啦,一个月的时间,可我总想构思得再好一点,再好一点,构思,构思,构思,一定要拿出一个惊世骇俗的idea,什么妥协什么土气观点都不要,拯救XX界的人物第一篇论文一定要横空出世⋯⋯结果到了第二十九天还在构思,好吧最后一天去图书馆做个文献综述结束⋯⋯[原因2]LACK OF INTEREST 兴趣的缺失常见于背单词/虐人必修课等苦逼活动中。

这事儿太恶心了,还是先做一下别的,等会儿再做,等会儿⋯⋯[原因3]PRESSURE 压力山大常见于非常优秀的拖延症患者身上,因为他们周围环境往往也是牛人扎堆,同时自己对自己的期望值也非常高。

当面临巨大挑战时,高期望值就会带来巨大压力。

压力转化为拖延的过程中往往经过一个机制,而这个机制将打开拖延症最可怕的恶性循环。

这个机制就是逃避。

逃避是一种人性内在的倾向,往深里再挖其实背后就是一个字:懒。

人都是懒的,无庸置疑。

不记得谁说的了,年轻时候需要克服的事情只有一件,懒。

其实从小很多训练使我们已经有了抑制懒的机制,但是拖延症给懒惰打开了一扇门,使它披着各种借口的外衣(累,无聊,压力,需要,甚至虚伪或无益的兴趣)重新占据你的精神。

一旦你的生活进入拖延症的节奏,很多事情都会变得非常糟糕,而拖延症患者往往会进入这样的境况:能对自己的拖延状态有自觉(self-awareness),但无法自治(self-control)--如同被一个恶魔统治。

二、WHY DO WE HAVE TO OVERCOME PROCRASTINATION为什么我们必须克服拖延症从人皆有惰性这一点看,也许世上所有人都是拖延症患者,压力临头或者碰到不喜欢做的事情时谁都可能或多或少的拖延一下。

而拖延症患者分为两类。

第一类,足够聪明到能够算出自己以最高效率(W)工作时完成任务所需时间(t),并且在死线前t时间准时开始工作,死线前一秒准时交稿(Wt=Q,Q为完成工作所需工作量)。

典型例子,诸葛亮。

第二类,没有第一类人那么聪明的家伙。

(Wt<Q)无论第一类还是第二类拖延症患者,在死线Deadline来临前都会有一个效率急剧上升的高峰体验。

第一类患者在压线完成任务后更会有巨大快感。

这种体验会作为成瘾性因素诱使所有患者的潜意识在下次任务来到时渴求再一次尝试,从而使得拖延成为难以治愈的疾病。

简单来说,不转发,不发帖,不回帖。

第一件事就是不转发。

抑制表达欲望的一个有操作性的办法是,打开记事本或者便笺,把想发或者转发的状态和微博,复制到里面,累积一阵,过一阵看如果还想发就发吧。

世界上人们(或你自己)的无知并不会因你的转发而改变,朋友圈里的八卦不是今天就是明天一定尽人皆知,段子里的聪明劲儿也不因一次点触就属于了你。

另外一个略显幼稚但非常行之有效的温和戒SNS方法是,规定时间规定地点浏览SNS(双规><)。

比如规定自己每学习1个小时才能刷一次SNS,每次10min,并且不能在书桌前,而是到床上或者沙发上。

这个方法我就有采用。

即使是人人好友2000+的情况,十分钟也能把过去1小时的动态中有趣的事情都看到了。

你会发现这个办法在满足SNS依赖瘾的同时惊人地提高效率,也会发现这么一点点SNS动态以前蚕食了多少的时间。

此方法和桌面数显钟配合效果好。

过一阵子,你就会发现,你用少上SNS省下来的时间所做的阅读,会让你越发远离SNS。

[5]INCENTIVE 正面激励一个习惯是持续激励的结果。

改变一个习惯也需要持续激励。

战胜拖延的过程中,达到成功的关键在于不断给予自己正面激励。

这是一门微妙的关于自我意识和自我控制的艺术。

正面刺激,简单来说,就是要让自己做完事情有快感。

有快感的事情才会让人持续去做。

(喂!)-循序渐进:在拖延情绪最厉害的时候,比如早晨,试着从最简单,自己最擅长和最喜欢的事情开始,循序渐进,比如有单词,语法,阅读训练,自己比较擅长阅读,不是特别擅长语法,特别讨厌背单词,那么可以先做几篇阅读,使自己进入学习的状态并且有一定信心,然后开始写语法,攻克语法难题之后乘胜追击背些单词,让完成任务的正面刺激不断累积并带着自己挑战下一个更难的任务。

-自我暗示:每次完成一定的任务之后没人喂你糖啊,但一定要自我暗示,“看,你可以的!”给予自己信心。

配合钟表和计划,时间上的提前完成是很好的刺激。

-持续:正面刺激一定要持续,持续的正面刺激几乎能带给人微醺般的感觉(喂是太得意了吧)请想各种办法自我鼓励自我吹捧,哇你学习得太棒了!诸如此类,只要能把你钉在书桌前。

-体育运动:再好的学习者也有不愿意学习的时候。

在调剂活动中最好的一定是体育运动。

肌肉克服外力阻碍就是在另一个层面上演克服与征服的故事,在各种运动无不中依然充满着自设目标-达到-获得满足感的过程,正能量满满。

首推跑步,其他因地制宜:器械,篮球,羽毛球等。

需一定基础。

[6]忘记沉没成本沉没成本是经济学术语,指由于过去的决策已经发生了的,而不能由现在或将来的任何决策改变的成本。
