本板块主要围绕生日这一话题，通过Miss Li询问Su Hai和Mike的生日日期和生日的庆祝活动来展开的对话，意在了解中西方对待生日的不同风俗习惯。
同时通过对话来学习日常交际用语：When’s your birthday? 及回答It’s on…既日期的表达方式。

设计理念：
1，要把教材看成是话题而不是课题，充分利用birthdays这个话题为切入点，设计一些灵活并能激活学生个性化思考的教学活动，并以小组合作方式来思考、讨论、交流完成学习任务，从而培养他们自主学习能力真正做到把被动接授变成主动学习。
2，借助思维导图提高学习效率。
思维导图是用图表表现的发散性思维。
它是
“图”更是一种学习方法，把语言学习融合在图形之中，学习过程充满了生机和趣味，对于提高学生的记忆，思考，联想和学习能力起着非常重要的作用。
设计思路：
结合教学内容及教学目标本节课我打算分五个教学环节：
1，free talk通过每日必问复习和渗透一周的天数和日期表达
2，通过欣赏一些节日庆祝视频和节日图片运用句型What holiday is it? When is it? 进行生生问答复习旧知引出本课话题birthdays
3,学习课文：
（1），呈现生日场景引出并学习日期表达法后进行生生问答操练巩固。
（2），以头脑风暴形式迅速说出和生日有关的物品和词汇。
后总结朗读。
（3），呈现主人公并为其唱生日歌应景又活跃课堂气氛, 后看卡通回答问题。
（4）, 阅读短文小组合作用所给疑问词尝试给出问句。
（5），再读短文小组合作完成表格。
（6）, 了解中西方不同的生日习惯
4，巩固：
（1）听录音跟读，指导个别句子的语音语调。
（2）小组选择不同阅读方式并展示。
（3）根据思维导图复述语篇。
5，拓展：
制作家庭生日卡自编对话进行语言输出---讨论在家人的生日上我们该为他们做些什么。
