与此同时,还要特别注意语言运用的得体性。
尽量避免运用汉语式句子和词汇,还要避免组词造成的文章错乱或表达不清等问题。
例1:误:Mr Li is a teacher whom students would like to show respect to, he has many ways of teaching his students.正:Mr. Li is a respectable teacher with many teaching methods.例2:误:His friends are many.正:He has many friends.遵循英美人的思维习惯,避免中文式英语。
1)中文式英语If you want to many, I have no. If you want life, I have one.(要钱没有,要命有一条)Give a colour see see.(给点颜色看看)2)结构错误(1)误用平等结构My summer work proved not only interesting, but I also learned much from it.剖析:not only…but also是一并列连词,所连接的部分应是平等关系。
interesting是形容词but also后面所跟的是一个句子。
应改为:Not only did my summer work prove interesting but also I learned much from it.(2)There be句型错误There is an old sentences says, “Practice makes perfect.”剖析:there be句型后紧跟着出现了一个谓语动词。
“常言道”英语有现成的说法,如: “As the saying goes”, “As a proverb has it”3)逻辑关系混乱At the age of ten, my grandfather died.剖析:此句中“at the age of ten”只点出十岁时,没有说明“谁”十岁,令人费解。
应改为:When I was ten, my grandfather died.4)词性误用None can negative the importance of money.剖析:negative 是形容词,误作动词。
此类还有介词当动词;形容词当副词用;名词当动词用等。
