首先，我来介绍下我们所学习的教材特点，方便您更好的对孩子进行课外辅导。
第一册全书共分11个模块，内含一个期末复习模块。
每个模块分两个单元。
一般情况下，第一单元呈现本模块所要学习的语言内容，是重点。
第二单元提供若干任务型练习，包括一首歌谣或小诗。
歌谣或小诗的学习，在这一册，学生刚开始学习英语，书中涉及了一些日常生活中使用频率最高的语句，学习时不要求学生单纯学说单词，而要鼓励学生学说句子，在句子中学说单词。
把单词放到一个句子环境中，记忆效果更好。
那么我采用的教学方法：针对孩子年龄小及初学英语的特点，我主要采取形成性评价，也就是看他们平时的表现，比如课堂表现，课文朗读情况，家长的反馈等等。
这半个学期以来，上课表现突出的同学有：。
同时，还有这么一些同学，如，我希望家长能帮助我督促孩子搞好学习。
在课外，我希望各位家长也能够关心孩子的英语学习，能够配合我的教学。
下面我提几点要求：1、帮助孩子养成听英语习惯。

其实，大部分的学生还是处于中间层次，老师所教的，所布置的作业能够基本完成，但学习的效率又因人而异，存在着个体差别。
尽管他们平时不需要老师操太多的心，费太大的力，但是说起各方面的表现，又总有一丝遗憾，我们教师和各位家长的心情一样，总希望他们能够再上一个台阶，能够学有所成。
怎样帮助孩子学好英语呢？家长和教师如何共同帮助孩子学习成长呢？老师自然是最直接的知识传授者，有着不可推卸的责任，但是家庭教育至关重要，你重视了，你付出了，孩子们自然会学有所成，你松懈了，你不管了，孩子的学习自然搞不好，在此，我呼吁我们的家长多配合学校，多配合老师，靠我们共同的努力来帮助孩子学好英语，和孩子共同成长、共同进步。
我认为，英语学习并不难，难就在于没有一个好的家庭教育环境，没有养成好的学习习惯。
我们要在以下几个方面加强对孩子的学习教育。
一、要给孩子们营造宽松的学习环境。

讲评过的题，既不改正，也不做相应的笔记。
我想第一类家长是把时间和精力大部分都用在孩子身上，每天都过问孩子的学习情况，而且能亲自检查，对孩子的要求很严格，孩子在学习上的每次浮动都牵动家长的心，都能引起家长足够的重视。
第二类家长也是占大多数的家长，是每天也都过问孩子的作业情况。
如“作业做完了吗?单词背了吗?”这类家长也只是停留在问的层面上，偶尔能看看孩子的作业情况。
得到孩子的回答也大多是“完成了。
””孩子到底完成的质量怎么样，家长心里没数。
有些孩子只是为了应负家长的检查，第三类家长是不懂英语的，而且上班忙，下班太晚，没时间过问的孩子的学习情况。
或者孩子放给爷爷奶奶管。
我想跟家长们重点说说用实际行动，真心关心孩子的学习。
如今的小学英语对学生的要求比较高，到了高年级教材的练习几乎都等同于我们以前的初中水平，如果在平时能注意翻阅一下我们英语书的家长就会发现，书本上很多的单词以前都没有见过。
单词如此，句型、语法等知识也是如此，所以，到了高年级光要求学生能够朗读、默写等已不能满足高年级英语学习的需要了。
