二．知识点
1．I’d like to live next to a restaurant．我想要紧挨着一家饭店住。

①wo uld like sth．=want sth．意为“想要某物’’。

would like to do sth．=want to do sth．意为“想要做某事"。

②next to--beside意为“在……旁边’’。

如：
Tom’s house is ________ _________ mine．汤姆的房子在我的房子旁边。

Jack wants to sit ________ _________ me．杰克想坐在教旁边。

2．We often listen to music in bed．我们经常躺着听音乐。

①listen to music意为“听音乐”，music前不加the，表示泛指，
listen to the music of Titanic 则表示特指的某一首音乐。

②in bed意为“躺着”。

如：
Don’t read in bed，it’s bad for your eyes．不要躺着看书，对你的眼睛不好。

3．Red Square in Moscow is about 91，000 square metres in size．
莫斯科的红场大约91000平方米大。

in size意为“在尺寸上”，in area意为“在面积上’’，类似用法还有in height／weight／colour等。

over意为“超过，多于"，相当于more than。

它还可以表示“悬在…上；遍及；在……期间如：There is a pair of glasses over Jim’s eyes．吉姆戴着一副眼镜。

of one’s own意为“属于某人自己的”。

此句也可说成：I also have my own bedroom．6．I hope to visit your home some day．我希望有一天能去你家拜访。

(1)hope to do sth．意为“希望做某事”。

hope 后还可接宾语从句。

如：．
I hope I _________ _________all the tests．我希望我能通过所有的考试。

(2)some day只用于指将来的某一天，one day 可指过去或将来的某一天。

7．一Who’s speaking，please?请问是谁?
一This is Simon．我是西蒙。

在英语电话用语中，常用this代“我"，用that 代“你”，故表达“我是……”用This is．．．，而要问对方“你是谁”则用Who is that(speaking)?
如果打电话找某人，可以说May I speak to．．．?
8．Can you ask him to call me back? 你能叫他给我回个电话吗?
(1)ask sb．(not)to do sth．意为“让／叫某人(不)做某事”。

如：

(2)call sb．back意为“回(某人的)电话”。

enough意为“足够的”，它修饰名词时，放在名词前，若修饰其他形容词或副词时必须后置。

数词又分基数词和序数词。

1．基数词：表示数量的数词叫基数词。

2．序数词：表示顺序的数词。

序数词的构成：记住基数词变序数词的口诀：
1，2，3特殊记，加th从4起，8少t，9少e，

(1)序数词在使用时，一般其前要加上定冠词the。
