Ⅱ.含蓄虚拟条件句 英语中某些假设的条件句不是通过 if 从句表达出来,而是使用介 词短语、副词或非谓语动词等形式来代替 if 条件句,句子的谓语也常 用虚拟语气来表达,这种形式的句子就叫含蓄虚拟条件句。常用的含
蓄词或短语有:with, without, otherwise, or, but, or else, but for,分词(短 语)等。

考点常集中在含蓄条件句以及宾语从句中的虚拟语气上。

所设考查项常通过谓语动词的特殊形式来表示,而且都是结合具体语境来考查对考点的运用能力。

今后高考对虚拟语气的命题重点仍会是在特定语境中考查虚拟语气中的含蓄虚拟条件句、宾语从句中的谓语动词等,且常见于语法填空。

The Subjunctive Mood
虚拟语气用来表示说话人 所说的话不是一个事实, 而只是一种愿望、假设、 怀疑、猜测、空想等。
Everyone has wishes!
When I was young I wished I could have been a model. But I was not tall enough, so I couldn’t become a model. If I had grown taller, I would have been a model.
主句与从句的动作发生在不同的时间, 这时主从句位于动词的虚拟语气形式因 时间不同而不同, 这叫做混合条件句。
例句中从句与过去事实相反, 主句与 现在事实相反
If you had asked him yesterday, you would know what to do now.
If the staff had been more careful,
他那样对待我, 好像我是陌生人似的。
He treats me as if I were a stranger.

注意: 如果表示的事情可能会发生, 那 么方式状语从句中的谓语动词可用陈 述语气。
