Step 1 Warming up
1. Free talk. (Activity1)
Today we are going to have a party. Please share your food with your friends. At the party, please introduce yourself to your classmates. Tell them what you like and don’t like, tell us why.
2. Students share their food in groups, and then introduce themselves.
e.g. I love pizza. It tastes good.
Step 2 While-task
1. Play a guessing game. (Activity8)
We hold the party for Kate today. It’s her birthday. She receives many presents. Please describe her presents to your partner. Don’t say the word. See if your partners know what your present is? Play the game and guess what presents Kate gets.

GRAMMAR
英语的动词中，有的后面要接名词或代词 等作宾语，有的单独作谓语，而有的动词 要接作表语的形容词或名词等。我们把后 面接表语的动词称为系动词。最常用、也 是同学们最熟悉的系动词就是be；除be以 外，很多感官动词，如feel, taste, look等 也可以当系动词使用。

本节课是⼀节听说课型的新授课。

在第⼀单元中，学⽣的听说活动都是围绕科学家已经完成和还未完成的太空任务⽽展开。

通过开展听、说、读等语⾔实践活动展⽰现在完成时态，为第⼆单元的学习奠定基础。

借助具体任务帮助学⽣理解对话，并提炼对话的主要信息。
本节课的话题是太空之旅，学⽣对此话题并不是很熟悉，⼀些术语理解起来也不是很容易。
正鉴于此，本课的创新之处在于⼒图突破传统的对话教学模式，利⽤三轮不同形式的任务，化难为易，化繁为简，结合表格帮助学⽣去理解和体会⽕星探索等太空问题, 突破本课的难点。
