一、被动语态的构成形式
1. 被动语态的基本时态变化
被动语态通常为十种时态的被动形式, 被动语态由be+过去分词构成,
be随时态的变化而变化。以do为例,各种时态的被动语态形式为:
1) am/is/are +done (过去分词) 一般现在时
例Visitors are requested not to touch the exhibits.
2)has /have been done 现在完成时
例All the preparations for the task have been completed, and we're ready to start.
3)am/is /are being done 现在进行时
例A new cinema is being built here.
4)was/were done 一般过去时
例I was given ten minutes to decide whether I should reject the offer.
5)had been done 过去完成时
例By the end of last year, another new gymnasium had been completed in Beijing.
6)was/were being done 过去进行时
例A meeting was being held when I was there.
7)shall/will be done 一般将来时
例Hundreds of jobs will be lost if the factory closes.
8)should/would be done 过去将来时
例The news would be sent to the soldier's mother as soon as it arrived.
9)shall/will have been done 将来完成时(少用)
例The project will have been completed before July.
2. 被动语态的特殊结构形式
1)带情态动词的被动结构。其形式为:情态动词+be+过去分词。
例The baby should be taken good care of by the baby-sitter.
2) 有些动词可以有两个宾语,在用于被动结构时,可以把主动结构中的一
个宾语变为主语,另一宾语仍然保留在谓语后面。通常变为主语的是间接宾语。
例His mother gave him a present for his birthday.
可改为He was given a present by his mother for his birthday.
3) 当“动词+宾语+宾语补足语”结构变为被动语态时,将宾语变为被动结构
中的主语,其余不动。
例Someone caught the boy smoking a cigarette.
可改为The boy was caught smoking a cigarette.
4)在使役动词have, make, get以及感官动词see, watch, notice, hear, feel, observe等后面不定式作宾语补语时,在主动结构中不定式to要省略,但变为被动结构时,要加to。
例Someone saw a stranger walk into the building.
可改为A stranger was seen to walk into the building.
3. 非谓语动词的被动语态
v.+ing 形式及不定式to do 也有被动语态(一般时态和完成时态) 。
例I don't like being laughed at in the public.
二、It is said that+从句及其他类似句型
It is said that… 据说, It is reported that…据报道,
It is believed t hat…大家相信,It is hoped that…大家希望,
It is well known that…众所周知,It is thought that…大家认为,
It is suggested that…据建议。
例It is said that the boy has passed the national exam.
(=The boy is said to have passed the national exam. )
三、谓语动词的主动形式表示被动意义
1.英语中有很多动词如break,drive,lock,open,sell,read,write,wash
等,当它们被用作不及物动词来描述主语特征时,常用其主动形式表达被动意义,主语通常是物。
例This kind of cloth washes well.
注意:主动语态表被动强调的是主语的特征,而被动语态则强调外界作用造成的影响。
试比较:The door won't lock.(指门本身有毛病)
The door won't be locked.(指不会有人来锁门, 指“门没有锁”是人的原因)
2. 表示“发生、进行”的不及物动词和短语,如:happen, take place, come out,
come true, 等以主动形式表示被动意义。
例How do the newspapers come out? 这些报纸是如何印出来的呢?
3. 系动词没有被动形式, 但有些表示感受、感官的连系动词feel, sound, taste,
look, feel等在主系表结构中常以主动形式表示被动意义。
例Your reason sounds reasonable
四、非谓语动词的主动形式表被动意义
在某些句型中可用动名词和不定式的主动形式表被动意义。
1.在need,want,require,等词的后面,动名词用主动形式表示被动意义,其含义相当于动词不定式的被动形式。
例The house needs repairing(to be repaired).这房子需要修理。
2.形容词worth后面跟动名词的主动形式表示被动含义,但不能跟动词不定式;而worthy后面跟动词不定式的被动形式。
例The picture-book is well worth reading.
(=The picture-book is very worthy to be read.)
3. 动词不定式在名词后面作定语,不定式和名词之间有动宾关系时,又和
句中另一名词或代词构成主谓关系, 不定式的主动形式表示被动含义。
例I have a lot of things to do this afternoon.
(to do与things是动宾关系,与I是主谓关系。)
试比较:I’ll go to the post office. Do you have a letter to be posted?
( 此处用不定式的被动语态作定语表明you不是post动作的执行者。)

被动语态 一.概念: 英语动词有两种语态,即主动语态(The Active Voice)与被动语态(The Passive Voice)。主动语态表示主语是动作的执行者;被动语态表示主语是动作的承受者。 例:1. A lot of articles (that) we have learned were written by Lu Xun. 四.不用被动语态的情况 1. 某些及物动词+ adv表主动,特别是后加副词(如well, easily等)时。主动语态有被动含义,这类动词常见的有sell,write,wear,wash,photograph, clean, cook, cut 例:1. This book sells well. 2.Your pen writes really well/smoothly. 3.This dress (that) my mom bought for me wears well 4.She does not photograph well. 5.The cheese doesn’t cut easily. It’s too soft. 句子是主谓结构时,不用被动语态。常见的谓语动词有:happen, take place, (dis)appear, rise, break out, come about, come true, come out, run out, turn out 例:1. A traffic accident happened just now. 2. Great changes are taking place in my hometown. 3. He disappears. 4. (一个主语 就够了) 四、主动语态变被动语态的方法 (1)把主动语态的宾语变为被动语态的主语。 (2)把谓语变成被动结构(be+过去分词) (根据被动语态句子里的主语的人称和数,以及原来主动语态句子中动词的时态来决定be的 形式)。

I was made happy( by them). 3. He asked me to come here. I was asked to come here (by him)

被动语态 一、概念: 语态是动词的一种形式,它表示主语和谓语的关系。语态有两种:主动语态和被动语态。如果主语是动作的执行者,或者是说动作是由主语完成的,要用主动语态;如果主语是动作的承受者,或者是说动作不是由主语而是由其他人完成的,则用被动语态。 二、主动句变为被动句的步骤: 1.把原主动句中的宾语变为被动句的主语 2.把动词变为被动形式即be +过去分词,并注意其人称和数随主语的变化,而动词的时态则保持不变。 3.原主动句的主语如需要则放在by后面以它的宾格形式出现(注代词的宾格),如不需要则可省略。 4.其它的成分(定语、状语)不变。 三、被动语态的用法: 1. 一般现在时的被动语态构成:is / am / are + 及物动词的过去分词 We clean our classroom every day. My mother asks me to study hard. 2. 一般过去时的被动语态构成:was / were + 及物动词的过去分词 A new shop was built last year. 3. 现在完成时的被动语态构成:has / have + been + 及物动词的过去分词 This book has been translated into many languages. The book has been translated into several languages. 二、被动语态的用法 (1)动作的执行者不知道是谁或难以说明时常用被动语态。例如: Street lights are often turned on at six in winter. The new test book will be used next term. (2)当动作的承受者比起动作的执行者来说更能引起人们的关心而需要加以强调时,要用被动语态。例如: This kind of bicycle is not sold in our shop. The thief was caught by a policeman yesterday. (3)含有双宾语的句子,主动句中的间接宾语或者直接宾语都可变为被动语态中的一个主语,另一个保留不变。变为主语的若是主动句中的直接宾语在变为间接宾语前则需加介词to 或for。 例如:The pianist gave the pupils(间接宾语)some advice(直接宾语) →The pupils were given some advice by the pianist.→Some advice was given to the pupils by the pianist. (4)在主动语态句中动词make、have、let、see、watch、hear、feel等后接动词不定式作宾语补足语,动词不定式不加to。但变成被动语态时后面的不定式都须加上to。 例如:The boss made them work ten hours a day. →They were made to work ten hours a day. A boy saw him enter the house. →He was seen to enter the house. 三、被动语态的时态 教材中出现了四种时态的被动语态及带有情态动词的被动语态。 一般现在时构成:助动词be + 动词的过去分词例如:This kind of car is made in shanghai. 一般过去时构成:助动词was/were + 动词的过去分词例如:The bridge was built in 1992. 现在进行时构成:be + being + 动词的过去分词例如:A new bridge is being built in my hometown. 一般将来时构成:will/be going to do + be + 动词的过去分词例如:These books are going to be posted tomorrow. 带有情态动词的被动语态构成:情态动词+ be + 动词的过去分词例如:Can this walkman be repaired here? ※主动语态改为被动语态的步骤: ①主动语态中的宾语变为被动语态句中的主语; ②主动语态句中的动词改为相应的被动语态; ③主动语态句中的主语变为被动语态句中by的宾语。 主动语态句中的谓语动词带有双宾语,即直接宾语和间接宾语时,转换方法有两种: ①把间接宾语转化为主语,保留直接宾语 ②把直接宾语转化为主语,保留间接宾语。此时,一般需在间接宾语前加适当的介词(通常是介词for或to)。 在短语see sb. do sth. 中,动词see后跟不带to的不定式作宾补。改为被动语态时要加上to。用于这一结构的谓语动词一般是表示知觉的动词如see, hear,watch,find等,以及使役动词make, let等。

六.注意以下问题: A. 带有双宾语的动词变为被动语态时,可以把其中一个宾语变为被动 语态的主语,若将直接宾语 (sth.)变为主语,须根据习惯在原间接宾语 前加上介词 to 或 for 用to 的常见词有: give, show, send, lend, pass, pay, teach, throw, take, bring etc. 用for 的常见词有: make, choose, sing, play, draw, save, buy, get, leave, cook etc. eg. 1. Mary gave him some books. He was given some books by Mary. Some books were given to him by Mary. 2.Her father bought her a new bike. She was bought a new bike by her father. A new bike was bought for her by her father. B.带复合宾语(宾语 +宾语补足语)的动词变为被动语态时,只能将 宾语变为被动语态的主语,宾语补足语不可变为主语。 eg. 1.We call her Gina. She is called Gina (by us). 2.They made me happy. I was made happy( by them). 3.He asked me to come here. I was asked to come here (by him)
