教材分析：本单元是人教版三年级上册第四单元, 单元内容主要是动物单词(duck.pig、cat、bear、dog、elephant、monkey、bird、panda)的学习，以及句型- What's this/that? -It's a...的学习本单元主要学习动物，以及与之有关的句型。
要求学生能听说认读动物duck, pig, cat, bear, dog, elephant, monkey,bird, tiger, panda.能够根据指令作出相应的动作，学会运用句型: What’s this?/ What’s that?It’s a...来问答。
教授时可以利用旧句子(What’s your name? This is the...)引入新句型(What’s this?)，另外动物单词的学习还可以联系到第三单元的颜色单词，让学生复习以前学的知识，体现知识的前后联系。
