Unit 5 Why do you like pandas?Section A(1a-1c)教学设计三岔中学:向应齐一、教材分析:本课时在整个单元中的功能和地位:本节课为第五单元第一课时。

根据《新课标》要求,本课以animals in a zoo为话题,围绕describe animals和express preferences这两个功能展开的。

本课时是一节听说课,中心话题是运用描述性语言对动物进行描述,说明自己对这些动物喜爱的原因,教学内容与贴近学生实际生活,容易激发学生交流的兴趣。

同时,在循序渐进提高学习的过程中,通过讨论动物来熟练运用“why-because”句型提出疑问,解决问题。

本课时教学内容的学习,会为本单元的进一步学习奠定词汇,句式基础,为最后语言的输出提供有力的支持。

二、学生情况分析本节课的对象是七年级的学生,经过一个多学期的中学英语学习生活,学生们已经学过由why, where, what 引导的特殊疑问句,具有了学习本单元知识的认知前提。

并且这阶段的学生相比较八九年级的学生在性格上更活泼、天真,对待新事物有很高的激情。

许多有关动物的信息能激发他们的好奇心,产生了解它们的强烈欲望,有利于本课的教学和学生学习兴趣的培养。

虽然学生英语水平层次不齐,但大部分学生英语学习主动性较强,尤其学生通过半年多的学习,已经掌握了“why-because”句型,在上学期的学习中更是接触到许多表达自己意愿和喜好的句型和词汇,了解了一定的动物英文名称和描述性形容词;学会了What Why Where等特殊疑问句的用法;由于年龄性格特点会对动物话题感兴趣,会有一定的合作和竞争意识,在老师的鼓励下能比较积极地参与课堂。
