通过听说读写唱游演画做等活动，激发学生学习的兴趣，帮助学生养成良好的学习习惯，逐步形成有效的学习方法，从而发展自主学习的能力。
例如：4a unit 4 以“i like…”为话题，提供学生非常熟知的交通工具类（car bus bike）及学生生活中非常喜爱的玩具（puppet puzzle balloon kite doll）等为辅助话题的“佐料”，使学生能在通过课堂的学习后回到生活中有“随手可得”的谈话资料。
教材内容的设计充分体现了小学英语教学源于学生生活经验并紧密联系学生生活实际的理念。
二、学情分析四年级的学生已有一年的英语学习基础，对生活中能用英语表达的有关“吃的、用的、玩的”物体名称已有一定的积累，而有关“i like…”的话题在教学过程中也早有“耳闻”，已不陌生。
实践也表明，学生非常喜欢说“i like…”的话题。

So if the students can learn this lesson well, it will be helpful to make the students learn the rest of this unit. This lesson is a dialogue about toys. Such topic is related to the children’s daily life. So it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English. The objective of the lesson is that the pupils can get information from their teachers, classmates and their friends. The key sentences are:1. What’s this in English?2. Do you like……The pupils also need to recognize the singular forms and plural forms of the new words . The teacher should get the students to remember the new words in different ways.In the teaching course, the teacher should use the toys, tapes and multi-media to create the real situations and happy atmosphere. This is the practice phrase. Lastly, the students need time to use the new language they have learned in order to communicate with each other.
