1微课适于中西医临床医学专业实验诊断学教学的特点微型化微型化是微课的典型特征,即时间的微型化和内容的微型化。

首先,微课时间简短,一般不超过10min,适应于中西医临床医学专业时间紧而任务重的特点。

其次,微课内容精简,重点突出,围绕某个知识点(重点、难点、疑点)或教学环节开展教学活动,一个课程一个主题,适应于实验诊断学涉及学科多、涉及临床多、知识点零散、概念抽象复杂等特点。

不同的研究方向有不同的核心期刊,这里也不能一概唯IF论了。

当然,首先你要了解所研究的核心期刊有哪些,这个就要靠学长、老板或者网上战友的互相帮助了。

2)本领域牛人或主要课题组的文献。

每个领域内都有几个领军人物,他们所从事的方向往往代表目前的发展主流。

因此,阅读这些组里的文献就可以把握目前的研究重点。

怎么知道谁是“领军人物”呢?这里提供两个小方法:第一,在ISI里检索本领域的文献,利用refine 功能找出论文数量较多的作者或课题组;另一个方法,先要了解本领域有哪些比较规模大型的国际会议,登陆会议主办方的网站一般都能看到关于会议的invited speaker的名字,作为邀请报告的报告人一般就是了。

3)高引用次数的文章。

一般来说高引用次数(如果不是靠自引堆上去的话)文章都是比较经典的文章。

多读这样的文章,体会作者对文后再根据你的笔记将文献分类整理,当你在写论文需要解释引用时再回头精读,我觉得这样会提高效率不少。

在归类时,重要文献可以根据重要程度在文件名前加001,002,003编号,然后按名称排列图标,最重要的文献就排在最前了,而且重要文献要注意追踪。

当然分类的标准还有其他,例如根据中文&英文、综述或&研究论文等。

三、如何阅读科技文献3.1 明确文献阅读的目的读文献有不同的读法,但最重要的是自己总结概括这篇文献到底说了什么,否则就是白读。

“微型学习”视域下英文医学文献阅读能力的培养2001年教育部出的《关于加强高等学校本科教学工作提高教学质量的若干意见》倡导高校使用外语进行专业课教学。

其后十年间,医学院校纷纷开设双语课程,而教学效果却不甚明显[1]。

2010年《国家中长期人才发展规划纲要(2010-2020年)》明确指出“提高高等教育国际化水平”“培养国际化人才”是我国高等教育发展的重要任务。

各院校在进行双语教学改革的同时,积极建设专门用途英语课程体系,着力培养学生专业学术外语能力,其中医学文献阅读技巧是医学科研人员的一项基本功,也是医学外语能力的基础。

1 英文医学文献阅读教学研究现状医学文献是传递医学领域新发现和新理论的载体,也是医学工作者进行交流、沟通的重要媒介。

然而针对医学文献阅读技巧和教学法的研究却相当有限。

马新亮[2]教授最早在《心脏杂志》强调了英文医学文献阅读能力对于医学科研工作者的重要性,并从问题浏览、摘要式阅读、全文式阅读和评论性阅读等方面指导医学生从文体上掌握文献阅读方法。

其后对于医学文献阅读的研究逐步细化,如案例式医学文献分析阅读法[3]、清除词汇和缩略语障碍法[4]、体裁教学法[5]和支架教学法[6]等。

这些教学法能有效地提高学生对医学词汇量,医学文献文体、体裁的认识,但还停留在对传统外语教学法的延伸阶段。

2 微型学习的概念微型学习是随着信息技术的发展,网络学习的普及和微课的推广而产生的全新的教学概念,它由奥地利学习研究专家林德纳(Lindner)于2004年提出,是一种存在于新媒介生态系统中,基于微型内容和微型媒体的新型学习模式[7]。

相对于传统课堂教学来讲,它具有目标明确、时间短、内容精炼等特点[8]。

2008年祝智庭等[7]进一步定义微型学习为通过微小的学习组块和轻便的学习媒体设备方便快捷地获取、存储、生产和流通的学习体验。

自此,微型学习被认为是新媒体环境支持下非正式学习中的一种表现形式[9-10],各院校开始利用微博[11]、微信[12]、社交平台[13]等工具与微型学习结合作为日常教学补充,其应用对象广泛,涵盖从小学生到企业员工的学习者[13-14]。

尽管针对微型学习的理论研究、资源建设和应用平台开发日趋成熟[15],但微型学习在外语教学中的应用并未深入展开,多集中于辅助词汇学习[16-19];其在医学教育领域研究尚停留在微课制作开发的层面[20-21],缺乏对教学模式的整体设计研究。

微型学习在医学用途外语(English for Medical Purpose)和医学双语课程中的应用有其适切性与可行性,优势体现在以下三点:①微型学习容量小,目标明确,具有相对独立性。

医学课程基本概念多、医学术语多,各门课程环环相扣;微型学习能够促使医学生将语言学习“化整为零”,短时高效地理解知识点,并减轻语言学习的心理焦虑。

②微型学习便于教学中的知识更新。

作为生命科学的一部分,医学课程的知识点及其概念下的微教材内容紧跟研究前沿,不断更新。

③微型学习便于学习者自定步调,实现真正的自主学习。

成年学习者普遍拥有智能手机和iPad等移动终端设备,已具备利用“碎片化”时间完成学习任务的习惯[22]。

基于以上微型学习在医学双语课程中的优势,本文尝试构建一种基于“微型学习”理念的英文医学文献阅读教学模式,利用网络自媒体共建来展开新一轮的医学外语教学改革。

3 “微型?W习”下的英文文献阅读教学3.1 教材选择教学实施中选取曹素贞教授主编的《医学英语文献阅读》作为微型学习教材。

该书是“高等院校新概念医学英语系列教材”之一,强调“突出医学共核知识,实现医学与语言的有机结合”的原则[23]。

选材上文献兼容学术和临床两方面,内容涵盖基础医学、临床医学、环境医学、预防医学、口腔医学等主要分类,是一部学术风格突出、语言规范严谨、适用范围广泛的英语文献阅读教材。

3.2 英文医学文献阅读“微型学习”过程设计微型学习的核心在于“学”而非“教”,其过程既可以单独进行,也可以是课堂教学的一部分,还可以是学生自主学习活动的组成部分[8]。

本研究在医学文献阅读课程中应用“微型学习”理念,分解段落,通过小组学习、课堂展示和媒体共建来完成文献的完整阅读,其具体步骤如下(图1):①由教师通读文献后,将文献按意群拆分。

②拆分后的段落字数在200~300字,再分配给小组进行段落内的共同学习。

③小组代表在课堂上展示分析结果,全班讨论问题,教师点评。

④学生制作段落讲解音频,并上传至自媒体网络平台。

最后由全班同学完整阅读文献,并对音频互评。

3.3 教学实施过程在“微型学习”教学实施前,本教材已在医学本科选修课以及研究生选修课中使用。

前期准备充分,教师对文献了解透彻,并选取符合学生认知能力的5篇文献作为“微型学习”教学实验单元(表1),内容覆盖基础、临床、口腔、环境、灾后医疗等。

教学实验对象为第四军医大学2013级与2014级本科八年制学生,以及2013级外语精英班学生共105人。

学生均通过四级考试,近一半学生四级成绩优秀。

授课人员为医学英语专业具备讲师以上职称教师,具备一定的基础医学知识。

第一阶段,“文献阅读+文本拆分”阶段,由教师将全班分成四人一组,共十组。

每组分配阅读任务,按段落长度划分,1~3自然段不等,段落分配尽量兼顾文献意群。

如表1中第一篇文献可分为Introduction、Pain modulation、Principles of the treatment、The use of analgesic、Acute pain、Chronic pain和Conclusion几个部分,其中文字较多的核心段落由两组拆分完成,每组组员仅阅读本组分配段落。

同时,教师需强调学生应掌握精细阅读技能,如词汇、词串、语篇、翻译、联想、总结等技能,以及诸如Features of pain、Pain modulating circuit、Principles of the treatment等文章副标题以外的核心概念。

第二阶段,“文本分析+小组学习”阶段,小组学习要求每个组员都要对本组负责的段落进行文本分析,通过小组讨论,对难度较高部分得出小组共识,并完成微型学习卡的填写。

以第二单元文献阅读为例,学生需填写学习卡(图2),包含学习主题、目标、重点医学词汇、词块、常见缩写和内容摘要。

学生需认识到尽管副标题是History and physical examination(病史及体检),本段落学习重点是Understanding the symptoms of COPD(理解慢性阻塞性肺疾病的症状);症状描述核心词汇为inspiratory(呼吸的)、respiratory(吸气的)、expiratory(呼气的);内容总结中应了解6条常见症状与引发症状的两个诱因。

学习卡的填写能引导学生完成自主学习,辅助他们明确段落内的知识点和语言技能。

第三阶段,“课堂展示+问题归纳”阶段,由小组组长基于学习卡内容,用英文进行汇报。

该阶段强调翻转课堂概念的应用。

翻转课堂被认为是21世纪颠覆性教育模式,即学生将自主学习内容带到课堂,与同学讨论分享;老师扮演提问者、启发者和答疑者的角色,启发学生发现语言的内在联系[24]。

在具体实践中,学生通常可以确立核心词和文章大意,却不善于发现文字内部、语言文化、新旧知识的内在联系,这就需要教师的启发引导,如提示学生是否发现“in-”“res-”“ex-”三个前缀与词根“piratory”组合时表示“气体进出的方向”;提醒学生机构词条Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(美国疾病防控中心)翻译中“防控”二字符合中文习惯却与英文顺序相反;又如提醒学生句式“疾病+is more common with+年龄/性别”可以表示某种疾病在特定人群的普遍趋势。

该阶段对教师课堂掌控能力要求较高,当学生对英文词汇和句式理解有误时,教师需及时记录,在问题归纳环节勘误,特别注意非医学专有名词的翻译。

学生通常对cardiology(心脏病学)等专有医学名词理解准确,但对医疗语境中的通用英语“望文生义”,如将stress reaction (应激反应)误解为“压力反应”,或将screening and treatment(筛查和治疗)误解为“透视治疗”等。

第四阶段,“媒体共建+同学互评”,媒体共建是本教学模式创新部分,让学生角色由微课学习者转变为微课设计者,将课堂活动转化为项目式任务(Project-based Task)。

微视频由于技术难度大、耗费时间长,很难在短时间为学生掌握,而新兴自媒体平台“蜻蜓FM”和“喜马拉雅”等拥有庞大受众群,且音频制作简单易行。

在课堂展示和问题纠错后,学生将负责课文内容录成音频,由教师收集并统一编号后上传至“喜马拉雅”自媒体平台中“医学英语文献阅读”专辑(http:///29324489/album/4512219)。

学生阅读全文并收听网络平台讲座完成由“微”到“整”学习过程,并在平台留言板点评彼此发音、内容准确性,完成同学互评环节。

同学互评可作为课程动态评估的参考,教师也可根据学生参与评价的数量、内容深度和准确度核算平时成绩。

4 教学效果反馈为检测“微型学习”教学模式的效果,本研究在教学实验基础上设计英文医学文献阅读教学反馈量表,包含语言能力、学术文化、词汇量、课程难度、课业量、教学安排、教学手段七个分项。

量表分5级,从“1”=“完全不符合”到“5”=“完全符合”。

参与研究的学员共105人,发放问卷80份,收回有效反馈76份。

统计结果显示,教学反馈中6个选项的均值超过4.00,说明学生对该教学模式满意度高。

“阅读课程提高了我的语言运用能力”平均值最高,达到(4.50±0.67),显示课程能够提升学生阅读能力,特别是语言运用能力。

“我认为课程的课业量适当”最低,为(3.75±0.94),说明学生对课业量较为满意,但相对于其他项目,课业量平均值低于4.00,其原因可能是学生需在课下查找资料准备课堂展示,并且要反复排练录制音频讲座,学生感到课业负担略重,而此项标准差为0.94,说明由于自身语言能力有差异,学生对课业负担的认同不一致。

其余分项学术文化(4.22±0.59)、词汇量(4.22±0.79)、课程难度(4.28±0.77)、教学安排(4.39±0.68)、教学手段(4.17±0.85)之间平均值差距在0.22之内,表明学生对教学安排、教学手段和难度的接受度均较高。

5 结语“微时代”的到来将会对教育理念、教育内容、教育手段产生颠覆性的影响,微型学习在未来的时代有可能成为教学常态[7]。
